My weekend

Hi everyone,

How are things? Just wanted to give you all a little update of my weekend. As you can see from the picture below, Pegs, Hugh and I had a great time at the German Beer and Schnitzel place. Nothing says Friday night like free beer and a live accordian player. Saturday, Lyndsay and I shopped online together and got ourselves cute little pink ipod minis. They were on sale, so how could we go wrong? Saturday night I went to a party at my friend Amanda's place. For those who can't remember, I met her in Australia through JP. I had so much fun. There were I think 9 or 10 of us. Drank at Amanda's and went over to the Whiskey for some dancing. Good times. Highlight of the night was meeting a guy. He's got my number and we'll see if he calls. I hope he does, but don't want to jinx it by talking about it too much. Yesterday, despite having only had about 4 hours of sleep the night before, Pegs and I went to see Hitch. It was really good. Now today, it's work again and that's all the plans for the week really. I'm house sitting for a girl I work with from Wednesday until Friday, so if anyone wants/needs to get in touch with me, the number is (613) 715-9491. I think that's it. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Oh how I missed hostel life

Michelle you will like this one alot! Lastnight I went to the Xavier Rudd concert. It was amazing. I hope that there is someone good playing at the Commodore when you are here Michelle that place is an amazing venue. Xavier has the best aura, and his energy just fills the room and engulfs ones whole body. Then that energy is projected back onto him from the crowd. I have never felt that intune with a musician before. Truly spiritual...... There were alot of Aussies there as well! I was in heaven, for amoment I felt like I was back there, a tear fell down my face.
After the concert (I went solo so didn't have anything to do afterwards) I wandered the street around my hostel (the reason I stayed in a hostel is because I couldn't bus it back into PoCo that late, plus I missed the traveling life I just wanted a taste again) and noticed someone famillar in one of the lineups to a bar. It turned out to be one of the guys Monique, Lindsay and I met lastweekend! He was with the whole crowd and everyone was so stoked to see me! It was great we partied and danced..... I love this city! It was such an Island thing to happen :) Although we would know everyone in line not just a few people, but you get my drift.
So after we stepped outside and I said byes, looked for my hostel....... we were at it! Silly me, we were at the bar at the hostel. I missed Michelle and her directions :) Got back into my room and the roomie was sleeping. I fell asleep and was woken when my roommate got up. Still didn't see her I just rolled over and fell back "asleep". A half an hour later I was woken up by my roommate........ A 62 YEAR OLD, RUSSIAN/FRENCH CANADIAN !!!!!! She wanted to know if I wanted to go to breakfast. I had to sleep, I worked at 12:30 and still had to bus back! ARGH!!!
She asked me like 4 times for breakfast. NO THANKYOU, SLEEP PLEASE. I am too nice :(
She ended up coming back later with a slice of apple, doughnut, and teabag. She ment well and was very nice, but Russian so she was quite "weathered". She decided since I was "awake" now that she would tell me her whole life story! So Michelle all of the "weird guests" we got stuck with at our hostels were because of me! I am sure of it now. I am a magnet for strange ones! :)
That was my weekend! Gotta love traveling! Peace, Amanda
Oh yeah, I threw the apple and doughnut out when I got downstairs, after I met two nice guys from England in the hallway!

Not much to say

Hi all,

I'm so glad it's Friday. The week's gone by fairly fast, but I haven't been doing much at work, or elsewhere, so it's been fairly boring. The most exciting thing I've been doing is making plans and reservations for California. Tonight, Pegs, Hugh and I are going to the German Beer Garden and Schnitzel House for dinner. Should be interesting. Tried to no avail to get people to come with us. Jonathan's sick and apparently Jamie C. is watching his expenses till he gets a job. Tomorrow night I'm finally going to see Amanda Cockburn and go out on the town! It's about time. She and her roomie are having a party and I'm going and I think I'll be spending the night. My excitement was dampened temporarily when I discovered that JP had also been invited. However, yesterday I was given the heads up by Amanda that he might be there and also that he's been pissing off all his friends, so if he starts any shit, he's out the door. So, I'm excited again. Amanda gets a little crazy when she's on the drink, so we'll see if I can keep up. Hopefully it won't be a repeat of Jonathan's and I'll be able to keep myself away from the toilet. I'll be sure to post about all the goings on afterwards. It's almost time for me to go home, so I'll end it here. Hope everyone else had a good week.

Love,
MC

Fucking bad day

Well what can I say...I understand Carolyn, I was babysitting the kids the other day and Rebekah was so sick threw up everything though! I didn't get it at least not yet...knock on wood. Well I'm working on a paper today, no class and I don't have to work cause its spring break here. Fun but it seems like I have a tonne of work today. All the same i"m trying very hard not to have a mental break down with the roommate factor. Just got off the phone with Janice and had a melt down about it. I told her I wanted to go home, but I'd be afraid I'd never return back to Halifax if I did!! Never thought I would dream about moving back in with my parents but at this point I can't think of anything better. This is kinda a downer blogg but hey it doesn't seem like many are writing on this so who knows if anyones reading it and its a good way to vent I guess! Oh well life sucks....I'm pmsing ....i'm stressed...work sucks....just a fucking bad day overall ...I think i'll hit the mall. talk to you later PS I love y'all

They're dropping like flies

Can we say flu season? Thank God it's not a sick to your stomach flu it's a fever and headache flu. One of the kids was convulsing he was so cold on Monday and when I felt his head I was like oh shit. Since then it's become a bit of an epidemic. There's one in here with me right now sniffing away with chest pains and so far today I've sent 2 home. Just praying that I don't get it if you know what I mean. Actually think I had it last week because I had a fever and headache and my neck was killing me so I skipped ufit. But other than that it didn't affect me too much. All right better get going the bell is going to ring in a few minutes and then we're off to music. Have fun on your break Lynds I wish I could bethere.

another one bites the dust

My love life leads me on a path...... a path of distruction. Not for myself, but for the actual relationship.
I recently met this amazing guy named Ryan. He lives just around the corner in the next town. We talked for 3 weeks straight and for hours at a time. We were planning what we were going to do this summer, he wanted to come to PEI and meet everyone....... the future looked unreal. We met on Friday and went for Gelato and then took his dog Toby (cutest dog ever, and I'm not one for dogs) out to this beautiful lake for a walk. We had a great time! There was only one thing wrong..... Ryan left today :( The business he works for sends him around North America to open and start the new businesses. Which means he is gone for months at a time.....
Seriously, either I am the one leaving, he is leaving, or we both leave and we live in completely different countries!!!!!! I just don't get it!!!!
Well I suppose I should get used to it, and take my own advice... "Never get your hopes up" , when it comes to guys atleast.
Amanda "aka Old Maid" hahaha

Spring Break

This has been my first non-hungover day of Spring break. woo hoo! Friday night I went out with friends from my class until 4:30am. We had a lot of fun. I'm in love with Kamikaze shots...vodka and triple sec. Then Saturday Darcy's sisters arrived. Luckily we spent the day napping because they were also tired from the trip. Then we went out Saturday night to Chuch which is a Thai vegetarian restaurant that is bring your own wine. Then went to Heather's friend's house and played Kings (like 3man except with cards) for most of the night. The rest of the week I think we're going to shop, be touristy and do some more drinking. Tomorrow night we're going to a bar that has an 80's night which should be fun. We found some glow-in-the-dark earrings (like the glowsticks) at a huge dollar store. I'll have to bring some home in the summer. They'd be fun at Peake's.

Apartment on FIRE!

So I wake up this morning at like 8:30 am...to hear nothing but fire engines and loud noises etc. I didn't think anything of it because lets face it its Halifax and I live pretty much in ghetto! Anyways around 10am Lindsay was going to the gym and called me from there. I guess the apartment building right behind the gym was on fire, and I mean a blaze! I went outside and the whole roof was nothing but flames, I felt so bad. All the people outside watching and fire engines everywhere! The gym was eventually closed b/c the power went out and so did our apartment building (in case you don't know where this is, its across the street from me). So anyways this was around 1030-11 am that I went outside to look. Sean and I came back after our Sunday drive at around 6:00pm the place was still in flames, the whole sky is black its such a sin. I feel so bad cause there is nothing we can do. I have to see if it is on the news, and I only hope that nothing like that happens to our place.
I was out on sat. and saw Rod Hood at the mall...."most awkard situation of the year" we both saw each other so we couldn't walk away, so I said hi, what youa re you up to...I knew he was here to see Kim so I didn't ask what he was doing here. I asked him how he was and what he was doing on PEI now. Then I was like I gotta get out of here, I felt like my heart was in the throat the whole time and I knew he did too cause he was red. Anyways...thats life. I 'm home now making some chilli hope it turns out , first time. you know i never have much to say but when I do I really do...when it rains it pours!
talk to you all later
Love

10 things I learned today

Hey ladies,
Well I must say that today I have learned a lot of things. I would like to make a list for you so that you can remember it for future reference:
  1. When you have parent teacher interviews the next morning ask your brother not to go out and get really drunk and spend the night puking his guts out in your bathroom. Felt like he was actually in the room with me.
  2. Don't bother putting make-up on because by the time the parents are actually arriving you've spent 6 hours with 25 little angels.
  3. If you've dressed up for the interviews you are bound to have a child drop his milk on your foot, managing to get on both your shoe and pantihose.
  4. DO NOT choose the day of parent teacher interviews to paint with your class for the first time. Not for the obvious reasons, mess, paint on white clothes etc. but because the paint actually reeks and so does your class as you entertain these parents.
  5. If you open the windows to air out the class room while you go eat supper at 4:30, because that's the only break you have, when you return the class will be like an icebox.
  6. If you tell the janitor that you are freezing due to your class being an icebox it opens up the door for him to look at YOUR chest to see if this is true.
  7. Yelling at the janitor in the hallway while parents are awaiting their turn is not appropriate.
  8. Drinking a nalgene and a chocolate milk before 7 interviews that you stupidly scheduled back to back is not a wise idea for obvious reasons.
  9. If you want parents who you don't expect to show up to actually show up schedule 7 interviews back to back. They'll be sure to come then.
  10. All of the previous can be solved if you mix ice, ice cream, milk and Baja Rosa together in the blender, this is what I'm doing now.

Love ya girls,

And you all better coment on this one!

Summer in PEI

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to do some last minute studying for my pathology midterm tonight. I've had a crazy week and am looking forward to my break next week!!! Last weekend I had a great time with Michelle and my family. Darcy's sisters are coming for the break and arrive Saturday. Darcy's brother got engaged on the weekend! (For those who don't read Darc's blog.) They just set a date of August 6th (this summer!). I haven't told my mother yet...I can't wait for the comments. I was hoping to go away to Europe for part of the summer with my friend Julie but that's going to cut short my travel plans. Matthew also has his jaw surgery July 6th. It looks like I'm going to be home for a lot of time this summer because I can't afford to go back and forth! OK...I should get back to studying. Miss you all!!

Valentines Day....

Hello Ladies how is everyone doing? Well how was everyone's valentines day yesterday, I figured there would be some interesting posts on here about what people did. It was great. I love eating out like that. And after our meal there is a french passtire chef who sent us home with choclate hearts with chocolates inside of them.
Well I got a new Lululemon shirt today ( i got it off of ebay) and i'm off to spinning class now and I'm super pumped to be wearing it! Lindsay you and I can be lulu sisters now! I've got a coat coming in the mail too...so much fun.

Canadian Idol hoax

I was working the other night with a girl that tried out for Canadian Idol here in Van city. She told me the whole process and I was quite shocked!!! Now I know how they get the terrible people to go on T.V. Apparently the whole thing is set up in groups of no more than 5 people being judged at a time (for the first round of judges). At that time the judges pick the best and the WORST out of those 5 and send the others packing even if they were amazing!!!! I know, I know the whole media thing and funny singers produce ratings, but it still makes me sad that some of the people auditioning just don't get a chance because "Joe Cool" with his bad voice decides to try out and is funny enough to get on t.v. That is the media for ya and they make the big bucks!!! I swear when I move to Costa Rica to live in my "beach hut" with my surfer husband there is no way I am buying a television. Although I am still watching Canadian Idol to see Steven sing Heave Away. That will be worth it!!!!

I miss having friends!

Hey ladies,
Michelle and Amanda I miss you two so much. The rest of you I miss too but the rest of you have been gone forever so I don't really notice it. Last night though sitting at Johnny Woo's I was like I miss my friends. And Howie was like that's too bad, are you gonna eat that? Anyway last night my friend Erin was going out with a couple of her friends and her roomate and his friends. (Including JC) So we all headed to Morons and of course found Jeff, Howie and Rammer and danced a lot which was fun. But I didn't see anyone interesting at all which totally sucked. But I'm holding out for next weekend. People will be home next weekend because this weekend they may have been away for Spring Break. And so they'll be home and out and so will Marla!! I can't wait for that!
Anyway hope you all had a great weekend

Out on the Town

well I went out last night (Sat.) and what a weird night, first we went to the bitter end cause Katies friends were there and Beth and I decided to strike up some converstaions only to figure out that this was a GAY bar!? Yea so that was weird....a couple more drinks and I really didn't care I felt good. Then we went to the alehouse, as I was getting in line who do I see none other then Michelle Jay, Neil and Mary it was good to see them, we chatted for awhile. I went inside got hit on by the bouncer ( which I couldn't understand then and can't understand now)....I mean aren't bouncers always cranky? Weird I was didn't understand. So afterwards we went to the pita pit...yum yum. Katie told me she was going to the gym this am (she was a no show) so I went over head spinning and pounding I didn't stay too long. But I wanted Carolyn to know something, do you remember Rebekah that we hung with at teh lower deck, the one buying all the drinks for us ? Well she is related to Johnathan Butler....there mothers are sisters. I nearly died when she told me...now did she tell us that night? Well I told him he was a good guy and that you dated him ..small world.Anyways I'm tired and cranky and have to work on my lit review. I'll talk toyou later
Pam
oh yea Kendra, why didn't you call this weekend? You should have....... you could have taken part in these adventures ! hahaha

They're out of control

I can't believe it. Everytime I look at the boy's blog I'm astounded at how they just can't let high school die. It's unreal! I just looked at it and Scarth and JD have a list of like 30 people's nicknames. I'm still waiting for them to say something about at least one of us. Lynds, don't let Darcy tell them that other people read it. I'm just waiting for them to say something really bad and then post a comment :) They're so stupid. Anyway, I just felt the need to share that with everyone. Later!

Stupid Boys

Hey...wow I can use colour now! My computer won't let me. I thought I was doing something wrong before. I already got mad at Darc because his site has turned into Gray bashing. If they make fun of any of us I'll get on there. They'd be pretty stupid to do that considering Darc started it and you're my friends. Keep in mind I don't think they don't know anyone else from the Gray is reading it. I'm sure we could say some evil things on here and make us look like bitches too. For example - our password! Anyway, I'm hoping their rant ends soon.

Michelle...what are your plans for Saturday (12th)? Looks like I'm coming to Otown with Darc because my Dad has meetings there. I really shouldn't be going because I have so much work due next week. It's still not 100% that I'm going. We're trying to get our Osce test pushed back after the break and if it doesn't get moved then I can't go. It looks like it will get moved because our pathology teacher scheduled our midterm at the same time. I have my fingers crossed. Sorry it's last minute. I'll understand if you have a hot date and can't see me.

talk to you soon. Love, Lyndsay xo

Another day, another dollar

Hi ladies,

Don't have much to tell you today. Another day gone by. I got paid today which was quite exciting, but that was probably the only exciting thing that happened. I've been reading Darcy's blog (peiiswhere.blogspot.com) and I agree with Carolyn, I'm just waiting for the moment Matt Allas says something about me or any one of us. My fond memories of him from high school include us fighting in Mr. Roper's geometry class, and having to suffer through having a locker next to him and him copying my calculus assignements in first year even though he was smarter than me. Go figure. I am getting even more excited for the trip out west. I was in touch with Lee yesterday (met him in Sydney...he's the one from Texas who says y'all) and he's moving back to Cali at the end of this month and wants to come meet up with me and Amanda when we get to San Diego :) Could be a good time. As for news from the real world, I've got nothing. I was trying to round up some people to go bowling tonight, but it doesn't look like that's going to work out, so I suppose I'll be watching Lost instead. Look like a good one. I should be off...it's 4:01 which means I've been here one minute longer than I should be. Talk to you all soon.

Love,
MC

Over The Cold

Hello ladies....well I think I'm finally over the cold. Yesterday I was still feeling kinda dizzy but today I'm good (little cough) but good! Last night I went to spinning class (yes my bum is sore) and I think I spun it out of me! hahaa Well not too much new with me, working on a paper for tomorrow for research methods. Fun fun! Working everyday to which kinda takes up a lot of my time. So why was it that Kendra stayed in the taxi while everyone was partying it up? Sick? And how is that we can view other people's Blog? Well I don't have much else to say so BYE

Pam

PS welcome to the Blog Marla.....

Tuesday, February 08, 2005

Wow

Have you guys been reading Darcy's blog? They seem to live to make fun of our high school class, I'm just waiting to see them make fun of me! Anyway that's about it, I'm trying to finish up planning for my kids as I'm out at a PD day tomorrow. Posts are getting fewer and farer between. Must mean the novelty is wearing off or we just really suck. I think Friday night I may go to the Rocket game with my mom. For those of you who have lost touch, the Rocket games on a Friday night will be packed and that's where everyone will be so it could be fun. Anyway must get back to American Idol. PS What song should I sing when I audition for Canadian Idol? I have it narrowed down to Amazing Grace or Dirty Pop. You guys vote and I'll take the majority.

My weekend

Hello there ladies,Not a whole lot to tell from this old gal. My kids are in gym and I'm taking a break. On Saturday night Megan's old roomate BJ was having a good-bye party at Martine's place. So Meg, Kendra and I headed over there. Kendra never got out of the cab but Megan and I went in. We then went to Morons and China Garden. Would you believe I have absolutely no stories. I know you think I'm joking and there's a story coming but there's actually not. We didn't get to Myrons until about 1:30. Saul and J Mac tried to convince me to go back to Ray Tatover's but I wasn't feeling that and that was the end of my night. This weekend Slow Coaster is playing at Baba's but I think I'll sit it out seeing as I can not Baba's. But Saturday night maybe... what do you say old married Marla??
CT

I want to write stuff too!

Hello girls! Well, I have been checking in on your posts over the past few weeks, and I think it is far time that I include my own two cents worth! Ok, so I am not an official member of the C-town girls, but I definitely like to gracefully pivot around the circle. So, this will be my first offical blog posting... Please don't get your hopes up for me to add anything exciting... I am just a boring student/old married hag! haha Besides, we leave the scandalous stuff for Amanda and Carolyn, right? Later chickies.

Shouldn't have answered the phone

Living in a random city in Canada is not the easiest thing for a young single girl to do. Especally when your cousin (best intrests in mind) decides to give the # to where you are staying out!
Yep... I was sitting here minding my business when the phone rang. It was a guy asking for me..... now that wasn't weird considering my influx of males in my life, but this voice I didn't recognize however!
His name is Rob. Apparently he was having a drink with his landlady at the pub my cousin regularly goes to. They started chatting and she assumed that he would be great for me..... gave him the # and he called! Me being nice I kept chatting and then looked up his profile on MSN, he is 28! Likes cars, motorcycles, and get ready for it........ Celine Dion!!!! I just don't see a future. So I kept stressing the age difference and the fact that I am kinda "seeing" somone right now. He kept telling me I seemed so amazing and a good head on my shoulders... whatever! Kinda' freaky.
I hope he never calls again!!!! I will tell him I just got engaged or something! hahaha

Friday night is alright

I finally went out on the town!!! The first time since I have arrived in this crazy city. Monique (a girl Michelle and I met in Aus) took me out with her "party" friends (who were nice but abit dramatic in a crazy way) to a club called Sonar in the nice part of downtown. There was a DJ playing called Krafty Kuts from the UK (totally recommend him). He plays brekbeats but used old school beats! Unbelievable! I danced my butt off. Really, I sweat so much I think I lost 10 lbs. We got to dance on the little stage that was there beside the DJ booth.
After the club (which was full of boys whom I loved, there were hats everywhere to "steal") we went to an after-party downtown at someguys apt. It was this small bach. place but we had a chill time. CT and Michelle you two would have died the smoke from all the weed was so thick(I loved it, sorry). Then we trudged to Aarons' place to crash (at like 6am) , we walked up the driveway and I started to see the most beautiful view of the city! Then they took me to the balcony and I almost pooped my pants! The view was amazing! It was on a hill overlooking the WHOLE city. From Grouse Mountain (which is still lit up even 'tho the runs are closed, tease) to the other side of the city! I was stunned. I think I stood there for an hour......
I am hoping to get out there again so I can take pics.
Now that I made up for my lack of going out on weekends, I can't wait until I do it again!
Peace :) Amanda

Saturdays....always fun!

Well yesterday I got up and went down to the market with Sean, Katie and Beth. This was an interesting plan as Lindsay was not to find out that we were all going together ...it was successful and off we went with our Tims in hand. I still wasn't feeling the greatest but thats ok. We went to the market got nice out of the oven cinnonm rolls and looked at everything....after that we decided to hit the stores...KAS (kick ass shoes) which was having a major sale h/w nothing in our sizes (big foot). Then I heard that clinique days were on so we decided to go to the Halifax shopping center. We are walking through the mall and what do I see....what I scream ....what do I nearly fall to the floor with excitment over???? THERE IS GOING TO BE A MAC STORE!!!!! As of now MAC is only sold in Halifax through a couple of hair places off spring garden road, which is great b/c I have pretty much been keeping them in business or so I feel like it. So I'm soooo excited about this......oh happy day..... of course by this time I'm feeling great! So I contiune to walk and shop and who do I see on the other side of the mall, none other then Anders! So I run over and say hi...big hugs all around...i introduce him to my friends noticing he is wearing a purse but I don't say anything. Then i ask, what are you doing here, he replys trying to find a job, if I don't you'll have to come find me on top of cidital hill! OK my reaction as he said this and left....stunned...did he just tell me he was gay.....???? My friends didn't say anything, until I told them , then they laughed and were like you don't think hes gay?? ...at this point starting to not feel so well again. I had to work from 6-10 showing a movie it was ok but I didn't feel well afters no matter how much ebay whoring I did after work. Still feeling congested today...but I have to work on my paper. Talk to you later ...this was a long one!

Rideau Street on a Friday Afternoon...

...is a very sketchy spot. I just love walking home past drug deals out in the open and the smell of pot in the air. So, my exciting evening consisted of ordering in Swiss Chalet and watching tv and movies. The phone rang during Freddy vs. Jason and it was none other than CT and Foxy! Very pleasant surprise. Chatted with them for about an hour, and hung up. Not even 5 minutes later the phone rang again...it sounded like it was someone at the front door cause there was so much static and background noise. I said hello about 3 times before Miss Macewen finally realized she was on the phone at the bar, and my god was she drunk. She was out for a surprise baby shower for her brother and had been drinking for about 4 1/2 hours before she called me. Apparently there was a substitute teacher there named Trevor who she thought I needed to talk to, so she handed his phone back to him. We chatted for a couple minutes while Pegs is yelling at him in the background telling him to get my address so he can come over and watch tv with me !?!?!?! He sounded like a very nice guy, and Peggy "whispered" (or so she thought) into the phone, "but Michelle, he's cute! If someone strange shows up at your door later, his name's Trevor." Oh Pegs. Can't wait to see how much of this incident she remembers tomorrow. I had to kindly remind her that she and Trev were very drunk and I was not and perhaps we could talk about this tomorrow. Oh my. She was quite entertaining and so loud I think my roomie could hear her and he was on the other side of the room. So, that was the excitement of my night. 10:15 and no visitors as of yet. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that no one shows up. Hope you all had a more exciting night than I did. Tell me all about it so I can live vicariously through you. Talk to you soon!

Love,
MC

Having a cold and still working!

So I feel like crap. It started yesterday, I woke up and things just were not right, I blacked out....and then all of a sudden my sinus were terrible, I can't stand to have anything touch me cause it hurts...not fun. Well I'm feeling a bit better I didn't go to the gym today in hopes that my body will recover. But I still have to work b/c there is a women out on stress leave which means I have to fill her shifts too. I heart Spring

It feels like Spring which makes me very happy. But I know another cold snap is just around the corner. But hopefully Ottawa stays very cold (sorry Michelle) so the ice sculptures are happy. I'm really hoping to go that weekend Michelle. We're still trying to see if we can go that weekend. D's friend Mike may go home that weekend so we're wating to see if we can go together and rent a car. Darcy was very impressed with your blog Idea Michelle so he's made one for his friends. It's a good idea since they never e-mail each other. Except basically only he and Matthew now how to use it so far. Miss you all!!
Love, Lyndsay

It makes me sad and I don't know why

Hi girlies,
hope your days are going well! As you may have all heard I finally got a job! It is at Mr. Mikes WestCoast Grill. There is a website so google it and you will get the drift. I suppose I could compare it to Fishbones, but bigger, and minus Eddie working behind the bar :(
The thing that makes me sad.... I was on msngeeks.com to see if Jonny blocked me, well he did. I know he is my past and I have moved on to better things (way better things) but he still meant something to me. I suppose you girls would understand.
So I deleted him! Should I also block him? But if he blocked me then why would he still be on my list? I'm confused now!!!!
Oh well, I'm in love now with someone better... so all is well!
Thank you for listening! That is all.
Amanda

A break from cramming...

Hey Everyone!!

Well...the brewery didn't live up to my expectations. It was still really fun but I was not anywhere close to hanging my head over a toilet. Too bad...haha. I think the problem was that it is also all you can eat so that reduces the buzz. I decided that Molson should make wine!! Now that would be fun. Wish you girls had been there to dance with me because they played some good music. It was a crazy mix of music...from Like a prayer and Girls just wanna have fun to Pony. Not really the same when you're with a bunch of guys. Carolyn and Pam - sounds like you had a great weekend. Ok...must get back to studying. I have a midterm tonight in human physiology. :(

PS - how do I make the text coloured???

My computer's fried!

Hello all,
So yesterday something fairly major happened to the computer because we have to take it in today. Last night I went through total MSN withdrawl and today while most people are eating lunch here I am checking the BLOG. That's ok it's sub day so I ate with the kids. Yes Pam it was definitely a very entertaining Sat night. Michelle if you lived on PEI with a good roomate they would never do that to you. Hint hint... But way to go on moving your office, now it's much harder to forget about you. As for me my Aunt Jean passed away this morning. She went downhill very fast, I've spent a lot of the past 2 weeks in Summerside and she's been in heart failure for almost a week now. I know that she was 100 but still she takes so many good stories with her and she's the last of my relatives really. I was planning on going to trivia tonight and out this weekend but I'll have to wait and see what the arrangements are. That's about all that's new in my life. I did ufit Monday night and last night. So I thought that was the reason my legs felt like lead halfway through last night but when Gord said at the end that he thought that was one of the hardest ones ever and did anyone else's legs start to feel like lead halfway through and almost everyone there raised their hand I felt a little bit better. We were graced by the Abbies on Monday night and all you can do is laugh. I think I laugh harder at the ones who take it seriously because they come in with sweatbands on and look like t hey're doing 80's aerobics. Anyway I should go and figure out what I'm doing with the munchkins when they come inside. Just joking we're actually going to be discussing healthy eating and such.

I need to vent!!!

Hey there,

Trevor is officially driving me mad!!!!!! Last night is was pushing about a million unnecessary bottons on the microwave at 11:45, then I get home from work today and it's a good thing I'm not hungry because I think every pot and pan in this place is dirty and laying around the kitchen. He wasn't here when I got in and there were plates, glasses and 2 ketchup bottles on the table. GRRRRR. It's probably the fact that I'm PMSing right now that it's pissing me off so much, but it's getting gross. Enough about that.

At work today I got moved to a new cubicle, so now I'm upstairs with everyone else. It made the day go by so much faster. I also booked my tickets to BC. I'll be leaving April 23 :)

I've decided that one thing I will never get used to here is the drug deals out in the open in front of the Rideau Centre. I saw two on my way home last night. So weird.

Anyway, that's it. Nothing really exciting from here. Hope you're all good. Love you lots.

Airforce? No they were Seamen!

Hey there! Well what a time we did have this weekend. It was great. The "seamen" that we met up with were too funny, Carolyn and I had a great time getting a buzz on at the expense of one of my friends (who spent $140!!!) wow. Anyways some definate good laughs that night, I loved every minute of it. I love the whole fact that Carolyn pipes up and says "hey she wonders about old women's sex lives" ...and then one english chap says to the other "did you hear? She wonders about old ladies shaggin'!" It was funny. The guy who stuck his head in the snow...hahaha actually his name was "charlie from Whales" ....everyone on this end if fully recovered I wonder how the lads got a long. Anyways it was great to see Carolyn.

Got into it last night with linday (roommate) about me moving out soon. She was pissed once again (3 time we've had this discussion!) Anyways I'm leaving my apt. in May...This is getting long I'll write more later.......

We should have taken pictures I wish i had some to show everyone!
