Fucking HORRIBLE Day

Okay I had the worst day ever today. I was working, and first of all I really didn't want to get up this morning, but that's par for the course every day I work. The unit was absolutely insane. and my patients were crazy, well two of the five mothers I had....then to top it all off, two of my baby's wouldn't feed. I went from room to room to room, and one of my patients must have rang her buzzer 35 times today if she rang it once. I really thought I was going to go crazy, and I almost did. I got one 20 minute break in my whole shift. Some days I just feel like a really bad nurse, because I just couldn't do everything for everyone, and it makes it worse when the patients will not do anything to help themselves.....okay, I think my rant is over for the time being, but I have to go back tomorrow night and I may have another rant after that....I hate working some times...

Oh Kendra, just let it all out! You are not a terrible nurse, I'm sure all the nurses feel that way. Just to think if it wasn't for you those stupid preggo ladies would be having their babies at home in a bathtub or toilet! I am never having kids!!!!
Hope tomorrow goes better.

Hey Foxy,

Sorry to hear you had such a shitty day. It's understandable that you'd get frustrated taking care of 5 pregnant women at once and hardly even getting a break. I don't know what I can really say to make you feel any better except, I hate my job sometimes too! That probably doesn't help. Hope today goes better :)

Oh wow Foxy! I would imagine the buzzer ringing is exactly like my darlings tugging on my shirt and going Madame. Sometimes I just want to stop and scream. And then there's times like today where we experimented with magnets, then read a book in English and played for 5 minutes when I think they're darling. I know what you're thinking, read a book in English. Yesterday I took a vote over who wanted me to read 1 book inEnglish every Friday and it was unanimous. It's nice for a change because you don't have to stop on every page and explain vocabulary. Anyway for your sake I sure hope today goes better! :)

Hi Kendra...
Sorry to hear about your horrible day! I'm sure at the end of the day you were ready to strangle buzzer lady. I can't imagine what it's like having 5 woman and their babies to look after! You must be have amazing patience. We were busy when we were just assigned one woman for the day...and we were just talking to them! Maybe it's a hormonal thing that makes some of them go crazy.
Miss you!
