My weekend Posted by Hello

Scottish you say?

Hello ladies!
Of course I dont have a story to give you. Are you kidding, heading out on the Hali town with Pam of course there's a story. So I got to Dartmouth on Friday and spent some time at the rink. Kendra came and picked me up and we went to TGIFriday's for supper. IT was lovely but I'm afraid to say we ate far more than should be eaten. To the point that Kendra thought she may have to bring out the Betty B factor. Went back to Kendra's place which is so cute! I read everyone's blogs for the day and we watched a little TGIF and headed back to my hotel. I hada pretty early Saturday and spent most of the morning at the rink. Pam met me at the mall and we did a little shopping. Had a great time at the Clinique counter where we got the VIP PEI treatment. From there we had some supper and went back to the rink. We called Kendra but she was going to bed. PPPLLLUUUHH! So we headed down to the Lower Deck. Signal Hill was playing and it was awesome! Pam's friends met us there and we had a few drinks. Then this guy walked by with a whole bunch of snow in his hair and he had an accent. I was like dude there's snow in your hair and he said someone dared him to stick his head in a snowbank so he did. So they were like British airforce or something like that and were stopped in Hali for the night due to a storm. They had no idea wherebouts in Canada they were and one actually asked me if there were polar bears close by. I told him there were ;) One was from Scotland and we all just had a little fun discussing New Year's Resolutions. They tried to convince me to break mine but I held strong right Pam!! We taught them how to stomp their feet and clap to Spirit of the West and they gave us some thoughtful expressions. Anyway gals' I've just arrived home from a long weekend and must somehow clean the basement and plan my teaching day tomorrow.
LOVE YOU ALL,
CT

My weekend

Hi Ladies,

Let me give you all the rundown of my weekend. Friday night I went over to Jonathan's place to do some pre-drinking. We were going to go to see Jimmy Swift, but got word from someone who was there who said it was sold out. I was just chatting with everyone and not paying attention to how much I was drinking. I had bought Vex which meant I got 6 coolers for $10. So I got there about 8:00 and was finished the coolers around 10:30. Not too smart. Before long I was up in the bathroom puking and decided I'd stick it out awhile before I went home. I lasted until about 12 when I was sick again and decided it best to leave. I walked home and everything was cool until I woke up in the morning and proceeded to be sick every 10 - 20 minutes until 3:30 in the afternoon. Good times!!! My stomach still hurts. Ginger Ale was the cure.

Last night I went over to Peggy's for fondue and wine. Needless to say I opted not to have any wine, but everyone else sure did. Pegs, Hugh and Karyn went through 4 1/2 bottles. Our first 2 courses went well. Very tasty...however, but the time it came to preparing dessert, Hugh was slightly intoxicated and royally screwed up everything. The chocolate fondue turned into chocolate milk to which he added cornstarch to thicken it. Not at all tasty. I'll just say as Hugh got drunker, chocolate was getting everywhere. He then attempted to make ice cream, but it wouldn't freeze, so when he tried to put it back in the freezer, he dropped it and it ended up all over the kitchen floor. Pretty entertaining.

Lynds, how was the brewery? I'm jealous. I bet it was fun. How were you feeling this morning? And yes, Trev was using the magic eraser on the pink and purple walls. Amanda, so glad to hear you're in love. Not something I've ever heard you say before ;) As you know, I totally understand the Dave thing. Exciting that he's coming to visit. Can't wait to get there myself! CT, Foxy and Pam, I can't wait to hear about your exciting adventures in Hali this weekend. That's it for me. I'm going to get myself back into my bed where I have spent pretty much the whole weekend. Hope you all had a good one.

Love,
MC

wish I could show you all a photo

I don't know how to put photos on the blog yet.... someone could show me how.
Have we noticed that there are other people commenting on our blog. I don't have a problem with it and I find it amusing that they chose mine to comment on!
So girlies I am in love! I know I have said it many times before, without meaning it!! (stupid boys) But this time it is sure near real!!! Dave Owen that I met in Aus and I have been chatting like maniacs ever since we left eachother that night in Coogee. We have adopted "webcam dates" where we can see eachother while we talk! Gotta love technology!! He is planning on coming here to visit the first week in April! Which ties in prefectly for Michelles visit the end of April. A good ol' ROAD TRIP full of surfers will be just what I will need! Then if things work out "smashingly" when Dave comes here I am going to get my Visa for England and move to Leeds with him!
I know what you are all thinking, I'm moving way too fast!!! It is not like we just met, we have known eachother for awhile and we have a bond that is more than just physical (obviously as we are a zillion miles apart) which has to count for alot!
Plus I wanted to go to Europe anyway and I may as well go where I know someone. We will always have our friendship if things in the "romance" department fizzle. I am great at being friends with Ex-boyfriends/dates (excluding Jonny).
That is that, I just needed to tell you all, I want to shout it from the rooftops.
Now all I have to do is figure out what to do with all these guys I met online!
Oh well!
Amanda

Tonight - All you can eat and drink !!! :)

Yes that's right...I'm headed to a Molson brewery party. Tonight Darc's class is having a "Snow Ball". I'm very excited because it means I get to dress up because it's a semi-formal! Ahh...memories of Christmas dances. I miss my girls. :,( And this time there's no need of pre-drinking because all the drinks will be free. (Ok technically not free but $30 isn't that bad.) I wish I liked beer although they do have Tornados (cooler-ish) which are pretty good. My plan is to not drink too much because I have so much work to do tomorrow. But I'm not sure I'll be able to hold myself to that. I'm also excited because today it was -7 instead of -27...yipppeee!!
OK, I have to do a bit more studying before I try and transform sick-with-cold Lyndsay into semi-formal Lyndsay. Wish me luck.
Love, Lynds

Michelle- about Trevor and the magic eraser....was he cleaning the pink and purple walls with that??

Why am I sitting here on a Friday night?

I know why, because I am a loser, ok I'll try not to be so harsh on myself...... I suck. How many guys do I have in my life right now (ok that made me sound like a slut). I mean I am in conversations with like 5 guys at the moment (the love of my life is in England can't help that) and I cannot find anything to do with my Friday night. I guess I have to learn to be calm some weekends, and I do have an interview tomorrow (wish me luck girls).
I suppose I could have made plans. I did go out to dinner with my cousin and all her friends (she is turning 16), I felt uber old! That was that. I was hoping to come back, go online and someone there to be bored also. I am turning all girlie!!!!!
Sorry i just need to vent abit gals, and since you are all prob. out (lucky Michelle at JSB and CT in Hali, have fun guys miss ya) I thought I would talk to the Blog.
Blog you are my friend........ I'm losing it! hahahaha

TGIF!!!

Hi,

I am so glad it's Friday. Not that the week was long, I'm just glad it's over. I've been staring at my computer the entire day and I think I'm going cross eyed. My plans for the weekend include tagging along with my cousin and pigging out at Peggy's.

Tonight I think I'm going to Jimmy Swift with Jonathan and some of his friends. Now, JSB isn't my first choice for live music, but I can't be choosy with so few friends, can I? Should be fun as long as there's alcohol involved. Foxy, did you know Jonathan lives with Matt Doucette? Can't wait to meet him. Don't know him at all, just remember I think he's hot. JP invited me over for a dinner party tonight, and when I declined suggested he show up at the bar later on. Good times :( I'll have to grab on to someone and pretend they're my boyfriend or something.

Tomorrow night is fondue and wine Chez Peggy. Apparently Hugh is quite excited and has the whole menu planned out. I believe we will be joined by Peggy's brother Ted and her other brother's girlfriend Karyn. Then I plan to spend Sunday in bed or on the couch watching tv and/or movies. And that's it!

Not sure who it was that asked when I was going to Vancouver, cause I thought you all knew. My guess is it was Pam. I'm planning on going as soon as I finish work, probably the day after, so the 23rd or 24th of April until the second week of May (I'm skipping my first week of school). While I'm out there, Amanda and I are planning on renting a car and going on a road trip to San Diego. Driving the West coast is the only other travel I've ever really wanted to do besides Australia. I can't wait. Anyway, it's about that time to start packing up the desk and get myself home. I think I'll stop by the mall on the way and look for something to wear tonight. Yipee! Miss you lots and talk to you soon.

Love,
MC

Phantom of the Opera

Hello Ladies!
Well last night was so much fun, we went to see Phantom of the Opera in the Oxford theater which has got to be one of the oldest ones in halifax, its one room and all they show is one movie at a time. Its so cool, and sooo big! Anyways it was too funny we were all so wired for sound I"m surprised we were 1. able to sit that long, 2. didn't get kicked out...however we did get some looks at the end of the show! Which was a good show, i loved the dresses the girls wore!
Anyways that was last night, this morning everything is the same as usual get up, go to the gym, come home eat breakfast and watch CNN...so today I thought I would be different I would watch Canada AM....BIG MISTAKE....as I turn to it there is a guy on there about how today is the "the day" he is going to kill himself....what the hell is this?? 9am ??? I didn't know what to do so I sat and watched this guy talk about how he was going to committ suicide today....wild . Anyways I work early today and late tonight...Pub Night! fun fun! Can't wait to see Carolyn tomorrow I don't work tomorrow night so I will call you sometime tomorrow (Saturaday) ! Talk toyou later love you all

The bear's out of hibernation

You'll never believe it...I came home from work to hear the vacuum!!! The bear had emerged from his cave and was not only vacuuming, he had even moved the funiture around to get underneath it. It's a miracle. Now he's using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to clean the walls. Hard to believe. Other than this, this highlights of my day included going to a meeting this morning to take minutes, then going to lunch and sitting in the library reading, then doing a little work before a staff meeting where we had chocolate cake, then home. On the way home my regular bus just didn't come, so after waiting what seemed like forever, I took a different one. It ended up taking a weird detour, so I ended up getting off and walking through the mall. Good thing I did. I decided to go to Bata to check out the shoes, and found myself my first pair of bitch boots. CT you'll be glad to know they aren't pointy. So anyway, the best part is they were only $23.99...gotta love 75% off sales :) So, that's been my day. Pegs will be here in a couple hours for the OC and then tomorrow's Friday!!! Hoping my cousin will give me a call. If not, it'll be TV adn beer again for me this Friday night . Excitement!! Well, I should be off to eat. Hope this satisfies you CT. Talk to you all soon.

Love,
MC

You girls aren't much fun!

Girls girls girls! I come home from a veryyyy tiring day at work looking forward to catching up with you at the blog and you let me down! Instead I'll start. It actually was a pretty good day. I ripped a strip off the kids yesterday so they were pretty well behaved today. Except I spent first recess yelling at children to come down off this hill that the snowplow had made. Some were actually hiding behind the hill and there was no way I was climbing it in my Roots boots. So anyway as soon as I came in I was being evaluated. Kind of stressful as basically my future career for next year was hanging in the balance. Some of the kids were getting a little excited and I haven't actually talked to the principal yet to see how it went. I think it went all right though. So we spent the afternoon skating at the rink which was fun. It would suck if you couldn't skate as I spent most of the time dodging children. Anyway that's it for me. This evening is my favourite evening. After ufit I shower, put on my care bear jammies and sit down on the couch to eat the equivalent of the calories I burned off at ufit. Joking, salt free air popped popcorn for me. All righty hope you're having a great Thursday gals!

My Wallet

I am so excited about my new wallet that I just had to show you all a picture of it. A present from Sean...It retails at like $420 (on the website eluxery.com) but I think he got it for around $60 something....fun fun! Don't you love it?

This is THE WALLET!! Posted by Hello

My days aren't very exciting

I went to the library to get a membership yesterday. I waited patiently in line and slowly made my way to the front, and when I finally reached the librarian, I was slightly surprised to look at her and see she had a full on moustache. Now, this girl was probably only 30. You'd think someone would tell her! It was horrible. I felt bad for the poor girl. Anyway, that was the most interesting thing that happened to me yesterday.

Lynds, I'm glad that you finally got on here and figured everything out. I probably check this and my brother's at least once or twice an hour while I'm at work. A little sad really. The boxing sounds very interesting. Pam, very exciting about the Louis Vuitton. If you don't mind my asking, how much was it? Thanks for the vote of confidence, unfortunately I really don't want to do pharmacy anymore, but definitely didn't want to tell my boss that. Kendra, you've been quiet for awhile. Were you snowed in at work? CT, guess who's moving to Ottawa next week? ;) Amanda, good luck with the job search. I talk to you everyday so I don't have anything better to say to you!

I should get back to my super exciting day at work. I dropped my discman on the floor, so now it won't work right. :( I'm stuck with the radio. Back to the research on San Diego and the US West Coast...not exactly work related, but very useful for me. I love getting paid to surf the internet. Miss you all!!!

Boxing

Hey there! Well Lyndsay, Sean's best friend Nathan was up in Montreal this past weekend boxing and actually came bronze, although not too happy with the color I thought it was cool that he was there and you were too. Perhaps you may have seen him fight. That would have been neat.
Anyways not much else to say really, I'm working all the time. As for you Michelle I think its a great idea for you to reapply, I don't think you should give up easily if doing pharm. is something that you are passionate about and think you really want to do.
Well thats my "deep" moment for the day. Back to watching CNN now take care ladies.

Love
Pam
Oh yea I got my Louis Vuitton wallet yesterday.........HOW EXCITING!!!!!

Hello Girls!

Yippee...my first posting! This is a great idea. I finally have time to write something because I'm home sick today. Everyone has been sick including Darcy so I'm not surprised I'm sick now too. We had a busy weekend going back and forth to St. Hyacinthe to see Megan (D's sis) in the National Boxing Sr. Championships where she got silver in her weight class. It was fun and I got really into it...until I saw some of the bigger guys fight. They were kind of scary. Megan and I decided that they were gangsters with their gold chains and entourage. It was also funny to watch the tiny people box...guys who were 46kg! They looked like little hobbits boxing. Yes I know that's evil...but it was really funny. Saturday night I went out with some girls from my glass to one girl's house for dinner and another's for a party. I've spent most of today sleeping. zzz. Wish I had One Tree Hill to watch. Ahhh. Miss you all!!
Love, Lyndsay

How's life in the land of snow?

Hello everyone,

Are you all dug out from the storm? I've seen the pics and they're quite something. Bren's got some pics up on his blog too if you want to take a look, b-random.blogspot.com I don't really have anything to say today. I'm just trying to kill some time before lunch. I have some work to do, but I figured lunch is only half an hour away, so what's the point of getting all into the work and then leaving, right? It'll easily get done this afternoon. No plans for tonight other than watching Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill. My life is so exciting. Trev and I watched 7th Heaven together yesterday. Isn't that sweet? I had a great heart to heart with my boss this morning about pharmacy and how I should apply again and she'd help me with the interview. She's a pharmacist and just loves it so much she thinks I should do it too. I guess she does like me afterall. I really wish I had some stories that were at least mildly entertaining. My computer crashed last night and I thought I lost everything and felt like a dumbass when I called Dell because I couldn't turn off the computer and the guy told me to hold the power button for 6 seconds and at exactly the count of 6 it turned off. He must have thought I was quite the moron since I couldn't even turn the computer off. Alright, that's it. Talk to you all soon :)

Snow day for me!

Hello all!
Yeah we definitely had a snow day here on PEI. I think that pretty well everyone did. Compass had to be broadcast from Halifax and they showed Bruce Rainnie in front of CBC because you couldn't even get into the building. The ploughs have only been back on the road for like an hour so I'm not really expecting to go to work tomorrow. Although I would be happy if I did go as we're starting to get really behind in math. Hope you all had an enjoyable day as well. Pam way to go at being a trooper and going to work! Kendra I'm guessing you are also at work, best of luck with that. Remember girls I'm coming over on the weekend. Hoping to have a successful weekend. The 3 kids I have in Skate Dartmouth all placed last weekend in Summerside. Well that's it for me ladies, enjoy yourselves this evening.
