Woo hoo. Finally some blog action. I check this every so often hoping to read some exciting, funny, or scadalous tid bits, but alas, no such luck until now. Michelle and CT, it was great to hear you are both still alive and well. As for me, I am just kicking back in Calgary with not too much to do... I really shouldn't be posting right now because I have absolutely nothing exciting to say! haha Work is amasing- I get free clothes as gifts from designers and I get to deal with companies in Italy, Paris, Holland, and Germany... yep, can't complain. Plus, I am working independantly as a jewelry distributor for Instyle Now, so with some luck I will be making some big bucks soon! Other than that, my life is pretty boring so I guess I'll be wrapping this post up soon. Carolyn, I really wish you lived here- I need someone to hit the town with! Amanda, when are you coming to see me again? I miss you! Oh, Michelle- every time I watch The Bachelor I can't help thinking about how much you look like Moana!! Has anyone else noticed this? Oh, and words about American Idol- I think Ace is one beautiful, sexy man... Well, that's it for me... Hope to see more blogging action from you all to get some updates on everyone's lives.

All right, first off I must apologize to Michelle for the fact that I totally dissed her on MSN twice. Can't be helped, my parents were here helping me hang pics in my apt. I finally got a couple of posters at Micheals and have them up now. So I know I haven't been around to talk to much but as you can imagine this has been my absolutely insanse season. Last weekend I spent at home in forever and even then I was still at the rink Saturday and Sunday but I got to sleep in my own bed at least. Foxy was here for a visit last week and we got to watch some Olympics and American Idol. So last weekend Saturday night my staff had a thing at the Dublin for the who wants to be a thousandaire trivia. I headed up there around 7ish. Of course who gets called up to the stage but moi. Luckily one of the other teachers and I had been drinking Smirnoff Ice with grenadine and I had already finished my second. Thus, I was 'smart'. My questions were pretty easy to start off. I.e. which of the following is a contraceptive, jumping up and down after sex, drinking a coke after, something else, or none of the above. Got that one pretty fast. Closest to the sun, pot makes you. I won 2 beer, 2 beer glasses and a basket of wings. I lost on the who is Glass Tiger touring with question . Oh well. Most of the staff left around 11 but one other teacher and I stayed and who should arrive but Jeff and Howie. Oh my boys! Just dance then went to China Garden but still fun. This weekend I would love to go to the ECMA's but I'm heading to Ktown for a comp. Friday at 5 and should be home Sunday by 3. Just in time to coach powerskating at 4:30. Poor Ryan will have to do everything, I'll be lucky to drag myself around the ice. But in the evening I am thinking about going to Matt Mayes at Myrons I think it will be good. SO ladies that's about it for me. Yesterday we did off ice with the girls and on the way there I just had to find time to stop at Wal-mart and pick me up a little RENT! Woo hoo! I haven't had a chance to watch the whole way through yet because I'm addicted to the Olympics but I will soon. Love you all and miss you all CT

It's been awhile...
Hi ladies,
I feel bad for our poor neglected blog. I do check it, but never seem to post anything. Could be because there's not much going on that any of you would probably want to hear about. Work's going really well. I'm super busy, which I'm definitely not used to. I really like everyone I work with, and I'm in charge of a couple of projects, which is cool. I'm at work right now and since it's the end of a very busy day, I thought I'd take a little break and say hello.
What news can I share with you? The Lynds was here to visit on the weekend. We had a fun, but very uneventful few days. Friday night we had some drinks and played a game with Peggy, Bren and MJ. Saturday afternoon me, Lynds, Bren, MJ, Pegs, Hugh and MJ's bro Matt all went bowling. We split up the guys and the girls and had a great time. Afterwards, the foursome from my house went to the Works for burgers for dinner and Lynds and I headed out on the town to the Honest Lawyer. By the time we got down there and got in, we were only there for a bit over an hour, but it was fun. Lots of people watching. Sunday we didn't leave the house and just watched a bunch of movies, made brownies and watched Grey's Anatomy and Lynds went home yesterday.
After almost 4 weeks working at the hospital, I finally ran into Angus. I figured I was bound to sooner or later. CHEO is connected to the med school and the other hospital. I've seen a lot of med students over here in the last few days, so I figured he was around somewhere. I saw him today after lunch on my way out of the cafeteria. had a nice little chat. He's looking pretty good. Apparently we're going to have lunch when he finishes this block of classes. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not holding my breath. He's bailed on me many times before. While I was telling one of my co-workers about him, I had a memory pop into my head of one of the dress-up nights at the Barn...or was it Halloween...I can't even remember and I suddenly remembered I kissed him once. Amazing that something that was so monumental to me at the time totally slipped my mind.
Speaking of memories that were locked away, another one popped into my head the other day. I'm pleased to say I got a shout out on our copy-cat bog www.peiiswhere.blogspot.com I was reading an entry of John Green's the other day that mentioned me. They're back to re-living high school and telling mean stories about people. John mentioned when Nathaniel Mitchell pantsed Dean Constable in grade 10 gym class and everything came down. John remembered that I'd been there to witness the wonderful event. Thankfully I'd forgotten all about it, however the image keeps popping back into my head now. Eww.
I think that's about it for me. It's pretty long, so I hope I inspire the rest of you to post, or at least comment. I won't have any more news for awhile. I can't remember why, but Pegs can't do anything all weekend, so I'll have a hot date with my couch. Woo hoo!!!!! CT, I'm still waiting to hear about your shenannigans with your staff on the weekend. Pam and KB, haven't heard from you in a bit either. Hope you're all well. Miss you lots.
Love,
MC

Help our blog please!!
Please help! Our blog is having extreme difficulties being interesting. Either the blog is dull or we are, and girls I'm sorry but I'm going to vote for us. So you guys all need to take turns coming to visit me. Otherwise by the time anyone gets home I will have completely forgotten how to talk to people my own age. When I speak now I stop mid-way through sentences and let the person I'm talking to finish them to ensure they understand. I did this to a 13 year old yesterday and to a 15 year old today. Damn primary teacher. So tomorrow my dad turns 60, insanity huh? What else, parent teacher interviews. Just waiting for Foxy to come over so we can watch the two man luge. What an event! Hope you are all doing well and I hope you are all enjoying this winter to the fullest.

Alone in C-town - Take 1
Well this morning I got up and got myself dressed while singing All by Myself by Celine Dion. I believe this is the soundtrack to my life :(. Had some breakfast, alone, drove to work, you guessed it, alone. Got to work and within 10 minutes I was joined by 21 eager beavers and realized that I might not be entirely alone in C-town. So anyway after work I was doing some photocopying and talking to one of the other grade 2 teachers when she was like oh I found you a man. I was like what, I do remember one day her and one of the other teachers were joking about finding me a man but I didnt think they were serious. So anyway he's apparently a contractor, looking to settle down. Didn't get into details but I gave her my ok to go ahead with it I mean at this point what do I have to lose. I mean as appealing as old maidenhood and hundreds of cats is, I'm thinking I should go for it. I have one small fear. Or 10. I will now make one of my ever popular lists.
1. He is a total geek
2. He is a bad dresser
3. I have made out with one or more of his friends.
4. I remember him from the smoking doors at Colonel Gray
5. He is massive, we all know how that scares me.
Well ladies, that's about it. Guess what! My first weekend all alone with no friends to hang out with, except watching Neil and Danny play poker, has plans already. Megan just told me she's coming over this weekend so we're going to go out to eat tomorrow evening. Perhaps I'm going to make it after all.

Interview
Hey Ladies,
How's it going? Everyone getting excited for Christmas? CT and I were thinking that perhaps we could all get together the afternoon of Friday Dec 23. We were thinking maybe we could do lunch then hang out for awhile. Sweet potato fries at the Pilot House might be good...yum. We'll all be home then, I have that afternoon off of work, and I don't think most of us have family plans in the afternoons. It could be the ideal timing.
Also, I had a job interview today with the Chalmers Research Group who does the clinical trials at the Children's Hospital in Ottawa. I think it went well and I'll find out on Friday if I've got it or not. It seems like a good place to get into where I'd have the opportunity to move up within the company as I get more experience. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
I should go since I'm at work, but I just wanted to put out that idea for our get together. Let me know what you think. Can't wait to see everyone :) Miss you lots.

MC

Hallowe'en - better late than never
I forgot to write about Hallowe'en. We went to the same place as last year but I didn't win any prizes this time. I was Wilma Flintstone, Jane was Glinda (from Wizard of Oz) and Julie was Tinkerbell. Darcy didn't go because he was studying for a midterm. There were some crazy costumes. One girl was a vibrator and she actually vibrated. Then there was a guy dressed as Michealangelo's David. He was only wearing a g-string and had white paint all over himself! You can see some pics on the website. (http://www.pgss.mcgill.ca/PHOTOALBUM/)
Lynds
(Yes...I dyed my hair bright red. Luckily the colour eventually came out.)

I need a little break from work so thought I'd post a hello. I don't have many blog-worthy stories because I feel like all I do is school work. rrr. I finish classes next week! Yippee!! Yikes...that means I have to write 2 term papers in the next two weeks. :( I even skipped one of my classes this morning to work on two other papers.
What has everyone been up to lately? Do you know what happens tomorrow???? RENT is released! I'm so excited. I'm planning to go Friday night with some friends to celebrate our last clinical day for the semester. I hope it's still out at Christmas because I think I will need to see it multiple times. It might be hard to hold back from singing. I went to see Walk the Line on the weekend with Darcy. It was so good! It even made me cry in a couple of parts.
I'm trying to think of what else is new. I went to a free Black Eyed Peas concert a little while ago. Best Buy had this concert to celebrate the opening of 5 new stores in MTL. There were contests to get tickets. Jane's friend got us tickets. It was a lot of fun but I also felt like I was in a Best Buy cult. There were Best Buy lights, Best Buy banners, and Best Buy employees doing Best Buy chants handing out Best Buy flyers. I guess the brainwashing didn't work because I have yet to step in any of the MTL stores.
Has anyone heard Madonna's new CD? I love it. I had saved part of my itunes gift certificate for it. :)
Miss you,
Lynds xo

Mrs. Robert Ghiz
For all of you who don't get to read the Guardian on a daily basis, just thought I'd let you know that Kate Ellis is engaged to Robert Ghiz. Apparently it was a slow news day, because there was the announcement along with a pic of them and an inset pic of her ring on the front page of the paper this morning. Just thought it was an interesting little tidbit to share.

Michelle and Piaza Joe's finally call a truce
Ok ladies come on. Life must be at least half interesting so you could drop a line from now and then. As for us MC and I went out for our ritual Friday night supper. It was my week to pick and I chose Piaza Joe's. Well to start off our waiter was none other than the UPEI keeper who scored the goal during Sunday's game. He came over to the table to say Good evening and MC went Hello, good day I mean good evening ech I can't talk. I swear my face went red for her she was so embarassing. So then when he came back I was like we just wanted to say how awesome you played last weekend. Luckily MC quickly said she's Tess's brother to take the "why are you stalking me?" look off his face. Then of course she was like i mean sister oh my God I can't talk. I swear her face was like purple. So then we had an absolutely awesome meal that we both loved and came back here. So here it is 7 years later and MC finally like Piaza Joe's. Now here's for a good story. Does everyone remember the time MC took the pen to Peake's and wrote on her leg in the bathroom so she wouldn't forget? Of course we all remember that moment. So MC went to trivia on Wednesday night and was talking to Sean Kidd. In talking Saul said to her "Well you're (looks her up and down) mildly attractive." It gets better. So MC goes to the bathroom at the Wave, goes in the stall, and takes a video of herself repeating what he says into her digital camera. Now MC I'm not laughing at you but we're all definitely laughing with you. Oh good times. Anyway love to hear what the rest of you are up to.

Adventures in grade 2
That's right ladies it's story time. So gather round, sit on your bums so the people behind you can see. That's it. Where to begin, I have had strep throat for a total of 10 days now and it's still not under control. My voice now fades in and out and I'm coughing like crazy. I finishedv parent teacher interviews last week and a lot of the parents asked if I wanted them to send stuff for Halloween. After last years 7 different kinds of cookies I mostly hinted that I didn't want treats coming in. I got 4 different kinds of cookies, cupcakes, candy and microwave popcorn. Now I was able to spread all of those things out not too bad throughout the day. The crisis, you know there's always a crisis when we're talking about me, came right around lunchtime. I put the microwave popcorn in the microwave and just after it started popping the bell rang so I went back to meet the kids. Told them to get their lunches and settle down and headed back to the kitchen. As I'm walking I['m going shit what's that smell. I got to the kitchen and I swear it was smokey, I'm amazed I didn't set off the fire alarm. The bag actually had a black mark that looked like it had been on fire. Obviously we didn't eat it. Went back to class and there was an announcement asking that anyone who did not know how to microwave popcorn should come to the office for a little lesson. My class strongly encouraged me to go. Then the kid who brought it opened his lunch and he had another bag of popcorn. So I went and popped it, we ate it and sent the rest to the office as proof I did know how to make popcorn. All right ladies that's it for me, hope this gives you a little laugh.

Halloween
Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to post a few pics from Halloween. CT and I had a great time at the Halloween/Bon Voyage Brendan party at Queen St. Yeah, not much else to say...a picture's worth a thousand words. For some reason after I loaded the pics, the formatting of the blog went all weird. I'm going to try to fix it, but if I can't, I apologize.
