follow-up

I just looked at that post and realized that I look naked in the first picture there. Eek. I was dressed, I swear. I'm just going to throw in a few more pictures here, just for fun and because I know you all want to see a little more of me :P

Me and Hope on the dancefloor

I'm not sure why it made all the pics go to the top of the post, but I can't seem to fix it. Oh well.

Lynds, I've become blog obsessed too. CT, your written description of your Friday night antics wasn't nearly as entertaining as it was to hear you describe it on the phone. I did laugh out loud when I read Lyndsay's post about your MSN convo. I can only imagine.

As for me, I had a great time attending the Gala. I went met up with Joanna, who just lives at the bottom of my street and we shared a cab downtown and met up with the rest of the crew. When we got there I got to meet Hope's husband, brother, sister and parents. They were all really nice. Hope's my bestie here at work and she's the one who convinced us all to go to the Gala. She is also the one busting my ass at the gym, so I could actually fit into my dress :) So, we were in the VIP room for about 3 hours with free drinks. Many, many beer and a group tequila shot later, the VIP room was closed down and we headed out into the main hall to mingle with the common folk. This is where the evening gets a little bit fuzzy...I started taking a lot more pictures, but I don't remember much otherwise. It was during this time that I decided to switch from beer to 4 vodka cranberries (I can't even think about it without gagging a little). We danced up a storm and the evening came to an end. We lost Hope and her hubby halfway through the night. Turns out he fell asleep/passed out on a chair at the back of the room.

All in all I had a great time, but I paid for it on Sunday. Plans to go to Dick's Dairy Dip (the O-Town equivalent of the Frosty Treat) with Pegs were ruined as I spent the entire day moving no further than the distance from the couch to the bathroom. I still felt like ass all day at work yesterday, and I'd say I'm still only back to about 85% of normal today. My insides are hurting. As good old TR told me this morning on MSN, we're getting to the age where going out hardcore really kicks our ass the next day.

So, that's about it for me. Hope you all had good weekends too. Miss you lots!!!

Love,
MC

5 days...

I've become an obsessive blog-checker. Post something girls...anything to give me a break from my papers. I have 3 papers ahead of me! I'm going crazy. My only news is that the Madonna ticket countdown is on...now it's confirmed that MTL is the only show in Canada! It will be SO hard to get tickets. I tried to join her fan club to try to get presale tickets but it was going to cost almost $80 Can and there's no guarantee I'd get tickets. The tickets will be expensive enough on their own.
Miss you.

MC - Do tell about the Gala

We all want to see pics of you dolled up!
All right ladies. So Friday night I went out for supper with Lynn to the Gahan house. We went around 7 with plans to meet friends of hers at the Dublin after. Ordered our meals and pints of Sir John A's honeywheat ale. Well it tasted pretty good. After our meal came we got second pints. Then it starts to get good/foggy. The couple at the table next to us were funny and Eddie kept sitting down with us and talking to both tables. So then Lynn had the great idea to do shots. Well there's no horney monkeys or Baja at the Gahan. So we did shots of tequila. The couple at the next table found it so entertaining they bought us shots of tequila. Then Eddie brought us some sort of desert and we did one last shot for the road. Came back here where I proceded to call Rammer, Danny, talk to Sean Craig on MSN and apparently Lyndsay. I do remember I was talking to someone else besides Chicken but I didn't know who until now. So we had a few more coolers here and headed for the Dublin. Couldn't tell you who I saw. I tried to send Rammer a text but that backfired. So called and every time I looked I'd see I had a missed call from him so I'd try him and vice versa. Met Lynn's totally creepy friend who was all over me under the table so I decided to hit the road. Finally Rammer got a hold of me and stopped by. That's about it. I'm sure there was more to it than that but that's all I got. And Lynds as for having anything left, Saturday night Lynn and I went ot a party on Queen St. and the Dublin so recovery wasn't so bad.
Love you ladies,
CT

I miss drunk CT!!

Last night, Chloe and I were having a quiet night in. I went on MSN to see if any of you girls were on...and then CT appeared! It sounded like she had a damn good night at Dublin. You know it's a good night when Carolyn can no longer type. I saved the conversation because I was laughing hysterically. CT - hope you're up for it again when I'm home in April. I still don't know the dates for sure but I'll let you know when I do. Kendra and Pam, will you be home anytime soon? Talk to you soon.

Its been awhile...

Ok so its been a long time since I've been on the blog, and I found some very interesting things on here. I also did not know that Dean was married , or getting married or whatever that post was... WOW. Anyway, Lyndsay I can't believe you have the chance to go and see Madonna, I am so envious its ridiculous.
There isn't much going on in my life, found out there are 2 weddings in the family (not my sisters) this summer in PEI so I'll be home then, not 100% on the dates yet. I'm going crazy homesick for PEI right now I can't stand this city, or the people in it...grrr... thats me venting sorry. I'm just bitter cause I'm not going to the Junos!! hahaha yea right. Well ladies sorry I don't have much to say or much of anything interesting going on, same ole same ole

Madonna concert!!!!

I'm slowly turing this blog into Madonna's fan club. :) Tickets go on sale April 8th and her concert is June 21st!!!! It's going to be stressful trying to get tickets because we have 2 papers due April 7th so it'll be hard to be in line. We're working on a plan for line shifts. Hopefully I can get my papers finished earlier. This is pretty good incentive. I hope it's warm next weekend...we'll need to camp out.

Heading to the Gala

Hello All,

I haven't been writing on the blog, because there's been nothing going on in my life at all. I pretty much work, watch tv with my bro and hang out with Pegs and Hugh a bit. C'est tout. On the upside, I had a review here at work the other day and they didn't even realize that my contract was only for 6 months, so I'll be employed for at least the next year, which is nice. I've started looking for new apartments since I'll be roommateless come June when Bren either moves home or moves in with Jeff. This Saturday I'm going to the Ottawa Gala (www.ottawagala.com) According to the website it's a 'who's who of young professionals in Ottawa. The sister of one of the girls I work with is the co-chair and she got me a free VIP ticket, so free drinks for me :) There will be a few other people from work there. If nothing else, it's an excuse to get dressed up and hopefully meet some new people. That's all for me. Lynds, congrats again about the job and Madonna. CT, hope you get your drink on this weekend. Miss you all lots. I'm out.

Lyndsay's Blog

My goodness ladies, does no one but Lyndsay have anything interesting going on in their life? I really didn't do much on my March Break. Watched tv, cleaned my apartment, skated and went to Moncton. I'm glad Lynn (Megan's friend from Cape Breton) will be back this weekend and I'm hoping to go out or do something. It's time I got my drink on. So I got my phone line so ladies you'll be hearing from me and you're welcome to call me anytime day or night. Of course day I won't be there as I'm usually working, and night for the month of April I will be at the rink until 9 pm most nights. Hey at least I'm keeping busy. I'm so happy Lynds, Marla, Peggy and MC will be home for a couple of weeks in August. And Amanda is home then too I think. We'll have some good times for sure. All right ladies gotta go get ready for Gray's anatomy and make my lunch for tomorrow. Love yas lots,
CT

Like a prayer....

Just after I posted on the blog Friday night I heard the news....Madonna is coming to Montreal this summer!!!!!!!!!! Jane and I heard it on the radio at the same time. The date is going to be announced this week. I think tickets will be super hard to get. I can't imagine going to see her. It would be crazy.
What is everyone else up to?? It's starting to seem more like Spring here everyday. Unfortunately I'm stuck inside writing papers. rrr.

Even better news...

Hi again...
Yesterday I met the head nurse from the transplant unit for an interview. The interview went well and I now for sure have the job. We were discussing start and end dates so I thought I'd ask about finishing earlier in August. To my surprise, she was totally willing to have me finish as early as Aug. 10th!!! She is from Nova Scotia and said she knows how hard it is being so far away from home. I offered to help out Labour Day weekend because I'll have to be back for school then anyway. I am so excited!!! I get to be home for 2 weeks at the end of August...see you girls, go to Peake's, go to the beach and all the other fun PEI summer stuff. Carolyn and I have discussed some plans already - mainly involving Nalgene bottles and daytime Myron's. I'll also get to see my aunt and cousins from Calgary because they are coming to PEI then too. I realized that it will be my parent's 35th wedding anniversary this year too. So my time at home will be jam-packed with activities. The only thing that could possibly make me more excited about summer is if Madonna comes here!! There's a rumour that she's going to have a concert here in July. Jane and I are prepared to sleepover in line for tickets. I'll keep you posted.
Miss you lots.

Love, Lynds

Ps - I can't post any pics of Chloe's party because I forgot she ate the USB cord for my camera. (I'm sure you're all very disappointed.) Unfortunately it's a weird size USB cord that I can't find anywhere.

Summer plans!

Hi girls,
Did everyone celebrate St. Paddy's Day in full force??? I went out Friday night with some friends and had to wait 1.5 hrs in line in the freezing cold! Luckily it didn't take long to get warmed up with drinks. One woman at the bar was so drunk she actually took her top off...bra included!!
I just got some good/bad news. I got a summer externship position with a McGill hospital!! I'll be at the Royal Victoria Hospital on the transplant unit. I'm very excited because there aren't many positions available. I will be paired with a nurse preceptor, work all his/her shifts and he/she will supervise me with my assigned patients. It will be great to get the experience. Also, most units accept externs with the intention of hiring them when they graduate...so it's a nice way to get into the hospital.
Obviously the bad part is that this will be my first summer away from PEI. Sorry CT!!! I'm already going in withdrawal just thinking about it. I can feel an Asthma attack coming on from the smog! :) (Luckily I have an air conditioner.) I was told there may be a possibility of finishing a week earlier in August but I have to wait and discuss this with the head nurse. I'm trying to plan a trip home just after Easter before my May clinical rotation starts. CT - I hope you're ready...we'll have to pretend it's summer. :)
My only other news is that my baby has her first birthday today. They grow up so fast! I'll take pictures later with her cupcake. Yes...I'm making cupcakes to celebrate! Dogs like cupcakes.
Miss you lots.
Love, Lyndsay

Too funny!

Oh that Chris! He is a master with the computer. So what's new with everyone? I went out on the town on Saturday night with Lynn. She's a friend of Megan Livingstone's who's here subbing for the year. We went to the Gate and were the only people under 40 so then we headed to the Dublin. It was packed and there were lots of people there. Mostly sat and people watched with some guy from Montague who's in the military. Thinks he knows Jonny, small world. My ice show is this Tyhursday and afterwards I will be enjoying a little Kaluha (courtesy of MC) because my goodness I will have earned it.

Has anyone else noticed?

Hello all,

I don't really have any news or anything. I chopped off my hair today, and that's about the most exciting thing that's happened up here in awhile. I just wanted to see if anyone else who's been watching Idol has noticed the resemblance between Ace Young and PEI's own Michael Smith, Inn Chef...let me know what you think. MC

Finally!

Woo hoo. Finally some blog action. I check this every so often hoping to read some exciting, funny, or scadalous tid bits, but alas, no such luck until now. Michelle and CT, it was great to hear you are both still alive and well. As for me, I am just kicking back in Calgary with not too much to do... I really shouldn't be posting right now because I have absolutely nothing exciting to say! haha Work is amasing- I get free clothes as gifts from designers and I get to deal with companies in Italy, Paris, Holland, and Germany... yep, can't complain. Plus, I am working independantly as a jewelry distributor for Instyle Now, so with some luck I will be making some big bucks soon! Other than that, my life is pretty boring so I guess I'll be wrapping this post up soon. Carolyn, I really wish you lived here- I need someone to hit the town with! Amanda, when are you coming to see me again? I miss you! Oh, Michelle- every time I watch The Bachelor I can't help thinking about how much you look like Moana!! Has anyone else noticed this? Oh, and words about American Idol- I think Ace is one beautiful, sexy man... Well, that's it for me... Hope to see more blogging action from you all to get some updates on everyone's lives.

All right, first off I must apologize to Michelle for the fact that I totally dissed her on MSN twice. Can't be helped, my parents were here helping me hang pics in my apt. I finally got a couple of posters at Micheals and have them up now. So I know I haven't been around to talk to much but as you can imagine this has been my absolutely insanse season. Last weekend I spent at home in forever and even then I was still at the rink Saturday and Sunday but I got to sleep in my own bed at least. Foxy was here for a visit last week and we got to watch some Olympics and American Idol. So last weekend Saturday night my staff had a thing at the Dublin for the who wants to be a thousandaire trivia. I headed up there around 7ish. Of course who gets called up to the stage but moi. Luckily one of the other teachers and I had been drinking Smirnoff Ice with grenadine and I had already finished my second. Thus, I was 'smart'. My questions were pretty easy to start off. I.e. which of the following is a contraceptive, jumping up and down after sex, drinking a coke after, something else, or none of the above. Got that one pretty fast. Closest to the sun, pot makes you. I won 2 beer, 2 beer glasses and a basket of wings. I lost on the who is Glass Tiger touring with question . Oh well. Most of the staff left around 11 but one other teacher and I stayed and who should arrive but Jeff and Howie. Oh my boys! Just dance then went to China Garden but still fun. This weekend I would love to go to the ECMA's but I'm heading to Ktown for a comp. Friday at 5 and should be home Sunday by 3. Just in time to coach powerskating at 4:30. Poor Ryan will have to do everything, I'll be lucky to drag myself around the ice. But in the evening I am thinking about going to Matt Mayes at Myrons I think it will be good. SO ladies that's about it for me. Yesterday we did off ice with the girls and on the way there I just had to find time to stop at Wal-mart and pick me up a little RENT! Woo hoo! I haven't had a chance to watch the whole way through yet because I'm addicted to the Olympics but I will soon. Love you all and miss you all CT

It's been awhile...

Hi ladies,

I feel bad for our poor neglected blog. I do check it, but never seem to post anything. Could be because there's not much going on that any of you would probably want to hear about. Work's going really well. I'm super busy, which I'm definitely not used to. I really like everyone I work with, and I'm in charge of a couple of projects, which is cool. I'm at work right now and since it's the end of a very busy day, I thought I'd take a little break and say hello.

What news can I share with you? The Lynds was here to visit on the weekend. We had a fun, but very uneventful few days. Friday night we had some drinks and played a game with Peggy, Bren and MJ. Saturday afternoon me, Lynds, Bren, MJ, Pegs, Hugh and MJ's bro Matt all went bowling. We split up the guys and the girls and had a great time. Afterwards, the foursome from my house went to the Works for burgers for dinner and Lynds and I headed out on the town to the Honest Lawyer. By the time we got down there and got in, we were only there for a bit over an hour, but it was fun. Lots of people watching. Sunday we didn't leave the house and just watched a bunch of movies, made brownies and watched Grey's Anatomy and Lynds went home yesterday.

After almost 4 weeks working at the hospital, I finally ran into Angus. I figured I was bound to sooner or later. CHEO is connected to the med school and the other hospital. I've seen a lot of med students over here in the last few days, so I figured he was around somewhere. I saw him today after lunch on my way out of the cafeteria. had a nice little chat. He's looking pretty good. Apparently we're going to have lunch when he finishes this block of classes. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not holding my breath. He's bailed on me many times before. While I was telling one of my co-workers about him, I had a memory pop into my head of one of the dress-up nights at the Barn...or was it Halloween...I can't even remember and I suddenly remembered I kissed him once. Amazing that something that was so monumental to me at the time totally slipped my mind.

Speaking of memories that were locked away, another one popped into my head the other day. I'm pleased to say I got a shout out on our copy-cat bog www.peiiswhere.blogspot.com I was reading an entry of John Green's the other day that mentioned me. They're back to re-living high school and telling mean stories about people. John mentioned when Nathaniel Mitchell pantsed Dean Constable in grade 10 gym class and everything came down. John remembered that I'd been there to witness the wonderful event. Thankfully I'd forgotten all about it, however the image keeps popping back into my head now. Eww.

I think that's about it for me. It's pretty long, so I hope I inspire the rest of you to post, or at least comment. I won't have any more news for awhile. I can't remember why, but Pegs can't do anything all weekend, so I'll have a hot date with my couch. Woo hoo!!!!! CT, I'm still waiting to hear about your shenannigans with your staff on the weekend. Pam and KB, haven't heard from you in a bit either. Hope you're all well. Miss you lots.

Love,
MC

Help our blog please!!

Please help! Our blog is having extreme difficulties being interesting. Either the blog is dull or we are, and girls I'm sorry but I'm going to vote for us. So you guys all need to take turns coming to visit me. Otherwise by the time anyone gets home I will have completely forgotten how to talk to people my own age. When I speak now I stop mid-way through sentences and let the person I'm talking to finish them to ensure they understand. I did this to a 13 year old yesterday and to a 15 year old today. Damn primary teacher. So tomorrow my dad turns 60, insanity huh? What else, parent teacher interviews. Just waiting for Foxy to come over so we can watch the two man luge. What an event! Hope you are all doing well and I hope you are all enjoying this winter to the fullest.

Alone in C-town - Take 1

Well this morning I got up and got myself dressed while singing All by Myself by Celine Dion. I believe this is the soundtrack to my life :(. Had some breakfast, alone, drove to work, you guessed it, alone. Got to work and within 10 minutes I was joined by 21 eager beavers and realized that I might not be entirely alone in C-town. So anyway after work I was doing some photocopying and talking to one of the other grade 2 teachers when she was like oh I found you a man. I was like what, I do remember one day her and one of the other teachers were joking about finding me a man but I didnt think they were serious. So anyway he's apparently a contractor, looking to settle down. Didn't get into details but I gave her my ok to go ahead with it I mean at this point what do I have to lose. I mean as appealing as old maidenhood and hundreds of cats is, I'm thinking I should go for it. I have one small fear. Or 10. I will now make one of my ever popular lists.
1. He is a total geek
2. He is a bad dresser
3. I have made out with one or more of his friends.
4. I remember him from the smoking doors at Colonel Gray
5. He is massive, we all know how that scares me.
Well ladies, that's about it. Guess what! My first weekend all alone with no friends to hang out with, except watching Neil and Danny play poker, has plans already. Megan just told me she's coming over this weekend so we're going to go out to eat tomorrow evening. Perhaps I'm going to make it after all.

Interview

Hey Ladies,

How's it going? Everyone getting excited for Christmas? CT and I were thinking that perhaps we could all get together the afternoon of Friday Dec 23. We were thinking maybe we could do lunch then hang out for awhile. Sweet potato fries at the Pilot House might be good...yum. We'll all be home then, I have that afternoon off of work, and I don't think most of us have family plans in the afternoons. It could be the ideal timing.

Also, I had a job interview today with the Chalmers Research Group who does the clinical trials at the Children's Hospital in Ottawa. I think it went well and I'll find out on Friday if I've got it or not. It seems like a good place to get into where I'd have the opportunity to move up within the company as I get more experience. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I should go since I'm at work, but I just wanted to put out that idea for our get together. Let me know what you think. Can't wait to see everyone :) Miss you lots.

Love,
MC

I went to Rent yesterday with Jane and Julie. It was so good!!! Kendra, have you seen it yet??? You will not be disappointed! I hope it's still out at Christmas because I can't wait to go again. I'm now listening to the songs over and over while I write my paper.

Chloe discovering snow

Hallowe'en - better late than never

I forgot to write about Hallowe'en. We went to the same place as last year but I didn't win any prizes this time. I was Wilma Flintstone, Jane was Glinda (from Wizard of Oz) and Julie was Tinkerbell. Darcy didn't go because he was studying for a midterm. There were some crazy costumes. One girl was a vibrator and she actually vibrated. Then there was a guy dressed as Michealangelo's David. He was only wearing a g-string and had white paint all over himself! You can see some pics on the website. (http://www.pgss.mcgill.ca/PHOTOALBUM/)
Lynds
(Yes...I dyed my hair bright red. Luckily the colour eventually came out.)

Hallowe'en - Wilma and Pebbles
I need a little break from work so thought I'd post a hello. I don't have many blog-worthy stories because I feel like all I do is school work. rrr. I finish classes next week! Yippee!! Yikes...that means I have to write 2 term papers in the next two weeks. :( I even skipped one of my classes this morning to work on two other papers.
What has everyone been up to lately? Do you know what happens tomorrow???? RENT is released! I'm so excited. I'm planning to go Friday night with some friends to celebrate our last clinical day for the semester. I hope it's still out at Christmas because I think I will need to see it multiple times. It might be hard to hold back from singing. I went to see Walk the Line on the weekend with Darcy. It was so good! It even made me cry in a couple of parts.
I'm trying to think of what else is new. I went to a free Black Eyed Peas concert a little while ago. Best Buy had this concert to celebrate the opening of 5 new stores in MTL. There were contests to get tickets. Jane's friend got us tickets. It was a lot of fun but I also felt like I was in a Best Buy cult. There were Best Buy lights, Best Buy banners, and Best Buy employees doing Best Buy chants handing out Best Buy flyers. I guess the brainwashing didn't work because I have yet to step in any of the MTL stores.
Has anyone heard Madonna's new CD? I love it. I had saved part of my itunes gift certificate for it. :)

Miss you,

Lynds xo

Mrs. Robert Ghiz

For all of you who don't get to read the Guardian on a daily basis, just thought I'd let you know that Kate Ellis is engaged to Robert Ghiz. Apparently it was a slow news day, because there was the announcement along with a pic of them and an inset pic of her ring on the front page of the paper this morning. Just thought it was an interesting little tidbit to share.

Michelle and Piaza Joe's finally call a truce

Ok ladies come on. Life must be at least half interesting so you could drop a line from now and then. As for us MC and I went out for our ritual Friday night supper. It was my week to pick and I chose Piaza Joe's. Well to start off our waiter was none other than the UPEI keeper who scored the goal during Sunday's game. He came over to the table to say Good evening and MC went Hello, good day I mean good evening ech I can't talk. I swear my face went red for her she was so embarassing. So then when he came back I was like we just wanted to say how awesome you played last weekend. Luckily MC quickly said she's Tess's brother to take the "why are you stalking me?" look off his face. Then of course she was like i mean sister oh my God I can't talk. I swear her face was like purple. So then we had an absolutely awesome meal that we both loved and came back here. So here it is 7 years later and MC finally like Piaza Joe's. Now here's for a good story. Does everyone remember the time MC took the pen to Peake's and wrote on her leg in the bathroom so she wouldn't forget? Of course we all remember that moment. So MC went to trivia on Wednesday night and was talking to Sean Kidd. In talking Saul said to her "Well you're (looks her up and down) mildly attractive." It gets better. So MC goes to the bathroom at the Wave, goes in the stall, and takes a video of herself repeating what he says into her digital camera. Now MC I'm not laughing at you but we're all definitely laughing with you. Oh good times. Anyway love to hear what the rest of you are up to.

Adventures in grade 2

That's right ladies it's story time. So gather round, sit on your bums so the people behind you can see. That's it. Where to begin, I have had strep throat for a total of 10 days now and it's still not under control. My voice now fades in and out and I'm coughing like crazy. I finishedv parent teacher interviews last week and a lot of the parents asked if I wanted them to send stuff for Halloween. After last years 7 different kinds of cookies I mostly hinted that I didn't want treats coming in. I got 4 different kinds of cookies, cupcakes, candy and microwave popcorn. Now I was able to spread all of those things out not too bad throughout the day. The crisis, you know there's always a crisis when we're talking about me, came right around lunchtime. I put the microwave popcorn in the microwave and just after it started popping the bell rang so I went back to meet the kids. Told them to get their lunches and settle down and headed back to the kitchen. As I'm walking I['m going shit what's that smell. I got to the kitchen and I swear it was smokey, I'm amazed I didn't set off the fire alarm. The bag actually had a black mark that looked like it had been on fire. Obviously we didn't eat it. Went back to class and there was an announcement asking that anyone who did not know how to microwave popcorn should come to the office for a little lesson. My class strongly encouraged me to go. Then the kid who brought it opened his lunch and he had another bag of popcorn. So I went and popped it, we ate it and sent the rest to the office as proof I did know how to make popcorn. All right ladies that's it for me, hope this gives you a little laugh.

Halloween

Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to post a few pics from Halloween. CT and I had a great time at the Halloween/Bon Voyage Brendan party at Queen St. Yeah, not much else to say...a picture's worth a thousand words. For some reason after I loaded the pics, the formatting of the blog went all weird. I'm going to try to fix it, but if I can't, I apologize.

Happy Turkey Day

Hey ladies,
Just thought I'd give you girls something to look at on here for a change. Unfortunately my class is so good that I really don't have any stories. But I do have one of those why classes. They constantly ask me why. Why is that compostable and that isn't? What do we do with compost? Where does it go? Why are the leaves green? And here's a good one. In discussing the four food groups last week I told them about how there were alternatives to meat and that I didn't eat meat. I also did stress to them that I did eat fish and tofu and eggs and peanut butter so that I still ate things from that group. On Friday I read them a book about the environment and they asked why we'd help the animals when they eat us. And I said but we eat the animals and 3 little girls said I don't I'm a vegetarian like you. Oh shit!! So far no parents have contacted me to demand why their child has stopped eating meat but the year is still early!

So far things I've learned this year:
You can never over-prepare for a fire drill. This year's class was much better and did not do any sommersaults but I did realize that the little girl I chose to shut off the lights can't reach the light switch and was therefore jumping at the lights in the class while the rest of the school headed outside.

Don't under any circumstances tell the kids you are a vegetarian!

The class doesn't notice that I'm tone deaf because they all are too for the most part. The other day they drowned out O Canada and weren't even with the music, we finished a couple seconds ahead of the tape.

Kids are incredible and they hang onto every word I say.

It's probably not as perfect as I make it seem. Sometimes I realize I've been speaking too fast and they didn't understand a word I just said. Sometimes they are all saying Madame at once and I don't feel like I can get to them all. But for the most part I'm having a blast.

Oh and another good story. Yesterday Rammer and I ran our first Canpower session together. I actually did pretty good in my hockey skates and with my hockey stick! All right ladies gotta go have desert but hope you had a nice long weekend and hope to hear from you all soon.

Saturday night in Ctown

Hello ladies,
I know it's been awhile since I postedon here. I hope you're all doing great. It's Saturday night and Michelle and I are at her place getting ready to watch a dvd on her laptop. Not much new here we're taking the weekend off. We were out both Friday and Saturday night last weekend. Nothing too exciting though except me ratting out this guy for busting a light then racing tomy bro's side so he'd protect me even though he was a tad loaded.

Thing in m y classroom are going good. Our first fire drill went off without a hitch!! The kids aer amazing during an indoor recess when I walk back to the class the other teachers don't look at me with pity on their faces. Instead it's more like envy. I did learn one very important thing Thursday though. Never give children honey on a stick outside of a bee house. Thisdid cause somem nervousness. Oh well it's all with the territority.
Later,k
