What happens in Greenwich stays in Greenwich!

Actually no it doesn't, I'm not one to keep things under my hat. So there was Lyndsay and I on the beautiful sandy beach of Greenwich. We went out in the water despite the late date and stood out there until we turned blue. Didn't actually go under but went out to our waists. Next we came out and you know that fresh shaved stingy feeling. We both had that going on and decided it was time to hike back to the car. Well we decided we didn't want to hike back in our wet bathing suits. So I put on my shirt and slipped on my bra and off my top etc. Next we were like how are we going to change out bottoms. Lynds didn't have any panties so she decided to go commando. Smart of her, for some reason when packing my backpack I'd packed a thong. So there I was with my towel wrapped around me trying to hold it and pull up my thong. Well the towel did slip a little. The Lynds saw my ass but I think the kids next to us saw the front. Don't scream they were way down the beach but I'm sure they were watching Lynds and I because we were entertaining with those towels wrapped around us trying to get dressed. Ah good times. Went to Fishbones last night with Lynds and Angela and that's a wrap on the summer. I have to work in the morning. Then the concert this weekend with Kendra then it's fall season!! All right hope that fills your story gap for awhile. Hope everyone is thinking of questions for Christmas. I bought a laminator the other day for $15 at Walmart so we can even keep the ones we like.

Somewhat settled in Scotland

May I say again that it was great to see everyone while I was home. Hope to do it next summer.
Woody and I are safe and sound in Scotland. Surrounded by great sea air and good pints of beer. We are in the small town of Oban as we decided to get out of the city to work. We got a job on Monday at a hotel just outside the town. For the last few days we have been enjoying the area. Hikes to the ruins of a castle, picnics on the Isle of Mull, and many pints at the pub with some great locals! We are planning on woking for the winter months and saving money. Accomodation is included so we should have enough saved up to go nuts in Europe for awhile!
When we get totally settled I will write more and try and send pics.
Hope all is well in Canada!

Love, Amanda

I just can't seem to keep my clothes on

Do you guys remember when I used to do silly and embarassing things? I know what you're thinking, thank goodness you outgrew that phase! Well apparently not. Listen to all that went on with me this weekend and week. Sunday morning I had planned to go to church with Allyn. That was fine I put on a cute little shirt (the white one with the pink embroidery) and a pink skirt. Off we went to church. Now in Kensington after church you head out to eat. We chose the Country Oven but it was too crowded so we were heading to Summerside when we spotted Bakin Donuts. Thought we'd give it a try. Had a beautiful breakfast sandwich and headed to the washroom. Then it was time to go. Some man in a cowboy hat gave me a funny kind of nod, I smiled and we drove back to the farm. Got out of the car and reached to scratch my leg. Funny my leg was exposed. Oh my dear heaven! My skirt was totally tucked in to my underwear! Can you believe it?? Don't answer that if you value your life!! So that brings us to today. The Lynds and I decided to head to Greenwich for a beautiful hike followed by some relaxing time at the beach. All right this will have to be finished later, heading out with my mom.

My pics won't load for some reason, but the pics I stole from Peggy's MSN Space work, so here they are. Enjoy! I think they're better than mine anyway.

Back to O-Town

I just wanted to let everyone know that I made it back here alive. I think it was a close call though...in Montreal we had the worst descent I've ever experienced on a plane. So much turbulence, but the actual landing was perfect. I was a little worried for a minute, but I survived. The rest of the trip was pretty uneventful.

I'll post some pics when I get home tonight. I forgot to charge the batteries on the camera last night, so I couldn't get anything off of it.

Everyone should email their address so that I can send them all the pics. I realized that I took like 130, so there's bound to be one or two good ones. Not to mention the videos ;)

I miss you all already and I wish I was back there in PEI with you getting ready for the beach instead of sitting at my desk catching up on emails and paperwork. Can't wait to do it again next year :D

And don't forget...I'll be home December 22 @ 12:35. Only a short 17 or so weeks.

Miss you lots.

Love,
MC

sister stranger

I have arrived safely in Grande Prarie. Staying with my brother Allan and his family. My other brother Shawn came to pick me up at the airport and didn't even recognize me! It was quite funny. It has been about 3-4 years since I have seen them. It's very interesting to be on a totally different level with them now that I am older and able to understand who they are and what they do. They work in the oil fields and Allan and his business partner have invented an object that helps detect when there is a "washout": sour gas coming up before it happens. It will save lives and they are going to do well.
I am glad that I came here and glad that I have developed a relationship with them again. The kids have grown up so much!
I am so excited to get to PEI and see you all agian. Woody wishes that he could come meet you all, but I have lots of photos and you will get to meet his someday....
See you all On Saturday (Aug 5th). Hope you all have arrived safely!
