What the...?

So, I was just reading the boy's blog and Matt Allas said he hangs out with Darcy McLeod? Weird. Never thought those two would have anything to do with each other. Anyway, that's all I really had to say. Had a housewarming party here last night...the german's friends were WEIRD!!! Pretty much the other two roomies hung out with me and my friend Carolyn and her b/f Rob. We had a good time making fun of everyone else, but that's the most exciting thing that happened. Hope your weekends were all better than mine.

Here we go again...

Alrighty,
I've remembered some more. I'll try to do these chronologically and we shall begin with prom night...
  • Me having a blind date
  • Me having to use the quarter on my invitation and chilling with Lyndsay's dad for an hour before everyone came back and no one realizing I was missing
  • People getting lost on the way to the party and being very anal about their car
  • Kicking sand into the water with Rory to watch it sparkle
  • "Jordan, I don't like you, I never did like you, and I never will like you"
  • Jono passed out on the floor in his own mess
  • Pam getting locked in the bathroom
  • Some "under the blanket" action in the sun room
  • CT getting her date drunk so he wouldn't touch her
  • Early morning trips to the beach
  • Jana and Jason on Mike's car
  • The missing sheet

The following are non-prom related...

  • "Whatever Joel"
  • Getting ready for Halloween at Everett's and covering his entire apartment in glitter
  • Trying to convince that drunk 16 year old at Brown's Court that CT and I were twins, then when he believed that, that Pam and Kendra were twins, then that the four of us were quadruplets
  • The "lobster" at KB and CT's apt in Brown's Court...I've never seen a sunburn like that in my life

I think that's it for now. I just had a sudden memory and they all came flooding back. I hope you all continue to add to the list. This stuff is just laugh out loud funny. Can't wait for more!!!

Sprouting wings and flying

That's right ladies, this chickie is flying the coop. I think most of you know this already, yesterday I saw an ad for an apartment down by the water. Called the number and today put down my damage deposit and paid my months rent. It's cute, not very big but has a balcony and enough for me. It will be nice to have my own space I think. And of course as Marla says, "We're never taking a cab again!" So I'm sure this place will make its own memories this summer!

Now back to stories...
The time Lyndsay drove right over the curb in front of That's Entertainment.

"Carolyn if you don't break up with him I will!"

Did you know that they close the parkade at midnight?

Lyndsay and Carolyn in the super quiet room, studying the anatomy of the male pig and none too quietly. Gee Lyndsay that Bluefield boy just gave you a really bitchy look, yeah Carolyn he did, he's a Bluefield bitch.

The sheep

I'm sober and I swear it looked like that pig just flew, it's a flying pig!

Nerds at Myrons

RIP Sundance

So when you get a nipple rink you get a great sensation where Everett?

That's all I got for now, my Neo Citron is starting to kick in.

My contribution

Okay girls, some of there are oldies....but they're all goodies....not really quotes, but funny funny times!!!

~piano magic.....that's all I have to say....piano magic and being stranded at wendys

~Margaret and Carmen are coming!!!!! Quick throw all the bottles under the deck!

~campfire songs....oh they built the ship titanic....do you ever wonder why!!(N'Sync church choir style!)

~the corpse....and the corpse strut

~our version of 98 degrees and fighting over who gets to be the hot one!

that's all I've got for now girls, but I'll think of more....I've been laughing soooo hard at these...I love it!!

~Kendra

Not only quotes!

There are so many funny times that I remember....but cannot remember the sayings that go along with them proboley because there was a touch of alochol involved! Remember these?

Not letting certain people take cab rides with us?

Trivia with newman or better yet dating newman?

I think someone once told a funny story about these girls in flordia and how one wouldn't let the other have any room in the bed???!!!!

The always classic "who are you?"

Does anyone else remember Dawyne? and his purple fizz bath? ....I know i do...Kendra what about the nice view we got the next morning?!

"I just want us all to be together to bring in the new year!" (I will admitt this was an exceedingly drunk moment of mine ..... believe it or not it was before the head was slammed in the front door!)

Oh Im laughing just thinking about all of these! Good times good times!

My contribution

This is quite entertaining. I haven't been able to think of too many so far, however I did find the email CT sent me when I departed for TO that includes a whole list of them :) So, some are mine and some are thanks to CT. Forgive me if there are a few repeats. I can't check what's already there while I write this. Here we go:

"Hen, CHICKEN, Rooster, Duck!" - CT trying to get herself under the water at the beach (haha)

"What the hell did we come here for?...Go upstairs with the boy" - also CT, follwed the next morning by "Get your bra and let's go!" from me.

"Did you know they have laptops at Acadia? Did you know they use PowerPoint at Acadia?" - Tony P.

"Look...Elephant Rock turned around and his back leg became the trunk" - I think that was me...oh Destination PEI

"I was in the stall and someone dropped a beer bottle on my head!" - also me at Peake's...I recall I was crying while CT was laughing her ass off at me

"Hey guys, where did Ellen go?" and 2 seconds later "Hey guys, where's Chris?"

"Good morning Sir" - Johnny

"I'm not a drug dealer!!!" - Jordan C.

The next few aren't really quotes more just general reminders of good times:
  • Daytime Myron's
  • Is that a tarp?....oh no wait, it's a raft the size of a school bus full of a bunch of dumbass 19 and 20 year olds
  • Text messages on the dance floor (I think that was just me) although I did get one from the Lynds once while I was at Peake's

Oh good times for sure. I miss you guys!!!!! So, who's going to be home for the 25th for sure? I know it's a month away, but I'm just going to assume we're having a BBQ at CT's and I have a suggestion for beverages. When I went to visit the Lynds in December we made this highly potent flavored rum punch. Absolutley delicious and shockingly strong. Personally I've got at least 2 midterms, a final and a presentation in the week leading up to that weekend, so I'm going to need to get good and drunk and head to Peake's! Can't wait. I'm very sorry for those of you who won't be able to join us. We'll have a drink in your honor. Ok, I'm off now as I have to get some school work done. Blah.

Almost forgot...I FINALLY got myself a phone. The number's (416) 340-1952. Also, my address is 111 St. George St., Suite 639, Toronto, On., M5S 2E8

Talk to you all soon.

How about these....

"Hey Darrell whats up?"

"Hey guys I just kissed ****, watch I'll show you" (hint new years eve)

"Oh my god, do up your belt!"

Why is this so hard to do and think of things, i'm going to try harder and come back to this later

They're kicking out ass!

Ladies ladies! The boys blog is kicking out blog's ass. They write about really dumb stuff but at least they write. So how are your RRSP's going? Just kidding. Here's what I propose. Michelle once said that this was a place to remember good times. Well I've had a few good times that may not be recorder here on this blog. So I propose that we start posting some good times. As well I'd like some quotes. One of my friends when they threw a party once they made posters with some of the dumb things she'd said on them. Well I'm not saying I've said some dumb things but maybe every once in awhile. So here's how I'm gonna start. A few quotes from some people, you may or may not recognize these.

"You'll have a better chance of picking up if you're by yourself."
" I should have been a doctor, I was really smart in high school science."
"Suck it." This one is allegedly said.
"Oh my God I'm a whorre I've had sex with everyone in this picture except Mr. Pendergast!"
"Here Carolyn, eat this and see if it's poisonous."
" Hey Donnie Brown I can't feel my face."
This is all I have time for right now but see who can come up with some others.LOve you all,CT

The boys are kicking our ass!

Ladies, ladies. The boys blog is kicking our blog's ass! I actually just wrote this post and then the damn thing deleted on me so here I am giving it another shot. So the boys do write about useless shit like retirement but at least they're writing. Michelle once said that this blog was a place to remember good times. In reading the archives the other day I did laugh at some of the original stuff but that only goes back to January. So I propose that we post on here some good times. The other thing I propose we post is some quotes. We'll call it quotefest. I'll get us started with a few of my favourites and you guys can take it from there...

"You'll have a better chance of picking up if you're by yourself."

"Carolyn stay right here while I go to the bathroom."

"Find your bra and meet me upstairs."

"Oh my God I'm a slut, I've slept with everyone in that picture except Mr. Pendergast."

"Suck it." This one is alleged.

"Here Carolyn, eat this and see if it's poisonous."

"Well that was a lovely ride. " "What the fuck car were you in!"

"I should have been a doctor, I was really good in high school science."

These are just a few to get us started. Keep adding to it though girls!!

News from TO

Hey ladies,

How are you? I've got lots to tell you for once. I'll start with the concert. last night I made it onto the guest list for Snow Patrol. Apparently Lynds and Amanda are the only ones of you who appreciate the band. Anyway, I couldn't get anyone to come with me and I was in such a shitty, horrible mood that I was just going to skip it, but a the last minute I decided to suck it up and go because I knew if I didn't I'd probably regret it. So, I got there and said "I'm on the list" the girl asked whose and I said Davey Sherwin, the lighting guy. She looked and looked and proceeded to tell me I wasn't on there. I nearly shit myself. She asked if I could call him or anything and I said no, but he emailed me this morning and said there wouldn't be a problem. Then she asked if he worked at the venue, I said "no, he's the lighting guy for the band" "OH! That makes a HUGE difference. Here you are!" Yeah for me. There were like 10 lists and she was looking at everyone except the bands...perhaps because I didn't have an accent and therefore probably didn't know the band (they're Irish), not sure. So I went in and hung around the lighting area. Unlike in Vancouver where we stood right next to Davey and talked to him, this time it was fenced off and people had staked out their spots around it and were fierce about staying there. It was pretty funny. So, I finally saw Davy and talked to him for a minute before the show thanking him again. The show was alright. The venue sucked. It was at the Kool Haus which is basically a modern, madeover warehouse and the acoustics aren't very good. The Vogue theatre was way better. Davy agreed. So, I talked to him abit again after the show. He asked what I was doing, but didn't suggest I go out with them, so I left. He said they'd just had a week off in NYC so they were pretty tired and likely wouldn't be doing much. Got home safe and sound and all is well.

Next, I emailed the Matt Mays site the other day looking for Tim Baker. My bro just informed me last week that the drummer for Matt Mays is a family friend of ours from Hali. His sister used to be my best friend when we lived in Dartmouth. Just sent a message saying we haven't talked in awhile, glad to hear he's doing so well and that I was going to try to make it to the show in TO in a couple weeks because it's at Lee's Palace which is literally two blocks away. This morning I got an email back from Mr. Baker saying how great it was to hear from me and he'd love to see me at the show and catch up. Just let him know, and he'll put me and a guest on the list. I'm in! I'm also turning into MJ which is scary (no offence MJ :). So, in a couple weeks I'll be meeting Matt Mays. It was funny because his email was so polite. Now he's a rockstar, but still the same, sweet little Timmy Baker. Ahhh.

My Dad's coming this weekend. Bringing lobster. Can't wait. He's also getting in touch with the father of the hot son to see what they're up to. Might see him again after the subway meeting last week afterall.

I'm getting settled in to being back in TO. My new location is so much better. I'm in Yorkville, which is where all the rich and famous hang out. Last week there were two different sets of trailers for a movie and a tv show set up behind my house. I'm just off of Bloor West which is where are the fancy stores like Louis Vuitton and Prada are, but let me tell you, nothing makes you feel more poor and uncool than walking past Dior and Cartier with your bags from Dollarama and Valu-Mart. I say this from experience.

Anyway, it seems like it's going to turn out to be an ok summer. I have an unbleievable amount of school work to do in the next 5 weeks before I come home, but it'll be worth it because all of my presentations and projects will be over with and I won't have much to worry about for the rest of the summer, except money, but that's another story. So, I shall end it here. I have to shower before the cable guy comes. Talk to you soon.

911 what is your emergency

Lastnight I was walking home from the busstop after work. I closed so I didn't get home until 2:30am!!! Totally worth the 100$ I made in tips! I was strolling along and I saw this lump on the sidewalk. I thought to myself....... "Self, why would someone put their garbage bag on the corner of a sidewalk?". As I approached the figure, I noticed it was a person!!!!!!!! He was sitting on the curb with this head to the ground, kind of an upright fetal position. I walked abit passed him then this wave of guilt came over me. Me and my "morals". I couldn't just leave him there. What if he was passed out and it started raining or even worse dead.......... I walked up closer and tried to see if he was breathing. Couldn't tell so I said, "Sir, hello!" No response. I wasn't going to nudge him, I was terrified enough already.......so........... I called 911. Got the ambulance described the situation (nice guy on the other end, he told me I didn't have to stick around since I was scared and that if I had any questions to call back). I walked the rest of the way home, feeling helpless. I called back about 30 min later and got a lady on the other end. I explained that I had called about an incident earlier and was wondering if she could tell me if the guy was ok. She was the BIGGEST bitch! She said in a snappy tone that they sent help and couldn't devulge that information. So now I will never know. I had the worst sleep lastnight thinking about it. How random for me to be walking that way, I usually walk up Commercial to 7th and up 7th Ave. Instead I got off at Lakewood. Considering it was 2:30 am it was my safest bet. I don't want anyone jumping out from bushes and scaring me to death!

Ahhh tv!

It has been so long since I've posted!! I just finished my first week of clinical in Orthopedic Surgery. The week went by really fast but was pretty tiring. We go to clinical Mon to Thurs so today was my day to relax! I spent a lot of the day watching Dawson's and Seinfeld. Then this evening Julie and I went to Jane's place to watch the last two episodes of the OC.
Michelle I loved your pictures. It looks like you had a great time!! I can't wait to go back to the "Couv". Jane and I really want to go sometime when Julie goes home. We've already decided that we'll turn Julie's house into a commune during the OIympics. I'm off to bed.
Talk to you soon!

Hey,
I arrived back in Toronto this morning. It was a very uneventful flight, except for the annoying girl in front of me who kept bouncing against the back of her seat in an effort to make it go back further, but really just ended up annoying the hell out of me. Amanda and Mo took me to the airport which was very sad. I really didn't want to leave. I've been gone 10 hours and I already want to go back. I'm arfaid to say, you may have all lost me to the West Coast. I really loved it there and am likely going to make a big effort to find a job there. As soon as I got into TO I remembered why I don't like it. It's flat, it's boring, it's dirty and sooooo busy. It took almost an hour to get downtown from the airport and it was morning rush hour, so it just seemed like we kept moving from one 4 lane highway to another and they were all jammed. I would never want to drive in this city in a million years. I've put up the rest of my pics. They're still at the site I gave before. I just wrote this whole huge long post, and now half of it disappeared. The gist of it was, I got an email from the lighting guy for the band Amanda and I saw, and he's going to put me on the guest list for the show in TO next week. I'm quite excited. So, I guess I'll try this again. I'm starving and I'm going to explore the new 'hood. Talk to you all soon.

Love,
MC

An example of my fantastic photography at Snow Patrol Posted by Hello

Patrol Groupies

Last night, we went to see the Snow Patrol concert downtown. The opening act, Embrace, was pretty good. Didn't really see much of them though. We were too busy drinking beer and eating potato wedges at the hostel down the street. We stood up at the back against a barrier kind of thing, and we were right next to the lighting guy. During the show, we made friends with the lighting guy, Davey Sherwin. I was taking pictures and he saw me and wanted to look at them. I was afraid he was going to yell at me, but he thought they were pretty cool. Snow Patrol was awesome. Amanda almost cried because he sounded Irish and he reminded her of Adam, resulting in her trying to make several overseas phone calls at the concert...even asking a couple Irish guys what the area code was for Ireland. Oh my. I took some videos and I tried to put them up on the site, but I have absolutely no idea how to do it, which is too bad, cause they're really good. At the end of the night, we chatted with Davey the lighting guy, got the set list and his e-mail so we can send him the pictures from the show, and he can show the band! We are so in. I'm thinking of asking him for tickets to the show in TO next week...what do you think? Tonight we're off to try and find Monique's sister's wedding dance. She told Amanda where it was yesterday, but she can't seem to remember, so we'll see what happens on that front. I guess that's about it from Van City. CT, so glad you're representing at Peake's for the rest of us. Hope to hear what the rest of you are up to soon. Talk to you soon.
Love, MC and Amanda

I heart Signal Hill

Actually screamed that on the dance floor last night I believe. Well ladies it's been a fairly uneventful week for me as per usual. We painted mother's day cards yesterday using rubber stamps and it was actually pretty fun. Today I am spending the day with a throbbing headache at Charlottetown Rural for a day of skating thing. Tonight I'm going to see Seussical the Musical and I am really looking forward to it. The reviews have been really good. Last night Marla and I went over to Megan's for a shindig. It was to celebrate the end of me having friends on PEI. Not really it was to celebrate Megan having gotten into school in Hali. So as she saysI really have to go visit in Hali next year. Anyway we drank there and had a few laughs and headed to the Ole Peakster at 12. I can't really tell you anything about the night that was particularly eventful or fun but I had a blast. We danced up a storm in a group on the dance floor and there was room to move! Danced up a few songs with the ole Rammer and Jeffy and then the night was over far too soon! Jonny Woo's and home. All right that's the extent of my life.

The Blog is being neglected

Girls,
What's going on here? I check the blog while on my vacation hoping to get an update on what's going on with all of you and there's nothing! Disgraceful. As for me, things out here are going great. Spent the last two nights at Jody's (I have keys!) and went to Sloan last night. It was really good considering I didn't recognize most of what they played until the encore. Tonight Amanda and I are going to Snow Patrol. Should be a good show. I'm pretty excited. Tomorrow night I'm not sure what's up, then Amanda works Sunday and Monday, so I'm heading back to Jody's for another couple days, then back to the T dot on Wednesday night. That's about it for me. When I get back to TO I'll email with more details for sure. Hope you're all doing well. Talk to you soon.

Why does everyone assume I was at Peake's?

Perhaps I was there. Perhaps I may even have been there Friday and Sat night ;) All right here's the deal. Friday night I was talking to my friend Erin on MSN and she said her roomate had called her then put a really drunk Jeff MacDonald on the phone and they were going to PEake's. It this point it was 10:30, she and I both had to work Sat morning and we were both sober in need of showers. But none the less we decided to check it out. She picked me up and we went around 11:30. The band was Shaydid, and although it was pretty cold there was a decent crowd there. We talked to Ryan, Howie and Jeff for awhile. There had been this message for me to call Jen to go to Peakes and I was like who so I hadn't called. Over come Jen Campbell screaming like a maniac. I laughed my ass off and did go dance a couple of songs with her. Erin and I left around 12:30 but the band was awesome I could've stayed longer. Last night we had our coaches party at Old Dublin during Who Wants to be a Thousandaire with Boomer Gallant. It was hilarious. Jo-Anne, my former coach, and I decided to hit Peake's. It was packed! I saw lots of people but nothing overly spectacular to report. Still I stood on the deck with Jeff and Howie looking out at the water and we were all like it's really summer. Then I did the same thing with Ben Parsons. Then Nathan Carragher. Probably a few others. Good times....
Later gals,
CT

small world indeed

I have 2 instances where this world as large as it may look in scale is as tiny as PEI itself......

1) I was talking to a guy that I met on Lavalife (I know I am back on it, but I got bored again) and we were on the subject of music. I told him I love up and coming bands. He asked me if I heard of Joel Plaskett...........DUH........ I am from the Eastcoast. We both figured out we were at the same show about one month ago and we met eachother there! What are the chances. Funny thing was when we parted ways he said, "Will I ever see you again?" That is when I said, "Have you ever heard of serendipity?"
We meet again it seems. He seems great, but who knows with the "luck" I had with the former lavalife meets!

2) Chatting to another guy from Lavalife and told him I was from PEI. He said he knew a guy from the Island. Of course I did the whole "What is his name I probally know him!" Sure enough, however you will never guess who it is. It is also quite ironic the fact Michelle is here with me as well, I thought she was going to die........... Josh Ballem, and he knows Jarrod as well. How odd!

So wherever you may travel, whereever in this world you may live remember it is not as big as you may think. There might be someone just around the corner that you have a connection with and don't even know it.

Michelle and I want updates on Peakes CT and Marla. I was talking to Rebecca but she left early. Give us the juicy stuff!!!!!!

Today is moving day, I hope I get it all done in one trip! I just want to have it done with and out of here so I can begin my life on my own!!!!!!!!! Yeah for me :)
Hope all is well, miss yas! Love, Amanda
